You should talk to your RA about your roommates and maybe have her say something about it, and if the problem doesn't get solved like that, ask about switching rooms with someone else. Or, you should talk to your roommates and tell them what's bothering you. You don't have to be confrontational to tell them that some of the things they do is bothering you, just sit down and try talking to them, and if that doesn't work, talk to your RA.

So I'm not in college, but I'm well known for not putting up with sh*t from anyone.

I think the best thing you can do is start locking up as many things as you can that you have control over. Like... when I was little my mom set a code on the TV so she could control my TV viewing abilities. If you can do that go ahead, it's your TV right?

Or move around their sh*t like they move around yours. Or chose absurd hours to do studying just to get your point across. Study when they're watching Glee and complain when they aren't quiet.

That's what my cousin did when she was in that position and they ended up working out all these deals. Like they bought a DVR together so they could alternate their TV shows blah, blah, blah. Make your point as to why you want to talk, or else they won't listen.

The worst thing that could happen is that they could move out of the room. Perfect. Right?

I've been at college for almost three months and I've switched roommates twice, lol.
My first roommate went through my stuff and brought someone over at 3am. I don't care about bringing someone over, but don't use the microwave in our room when you can clearly see me asleep. And then continue to yell at each other. Then the next morning not tell me this bitch is staying another night and y'all are using that damn microwave again.

The second one just creeped me out. She never said a word to me, yet would stare at me from across the room. She refused to go outside when the air broke in September (we're in Louisiana, and can't open the windows in our dorm so it was fucking hot). The only time I heard she voice was when she mimick the characters' accent in my video games. O.o And she'd go to bed at 8:30 every night and be up around 6am. And be loud as fuck and turn her light out. She would never open the blinds - she freaked out when I did. The last straw was when she threw a fit (screaming, slamming the door and throwing shit) at fucking 7am. When I'm asleep. Then she never said anything about it when I was awake.
    >.>

My roommate now is good. She stays up until like 4am, but I don't hear her.

I feel for you. I'm a freshman at college too. Though I got really lucky with my roommate, my friends here have some awful stories. Keep your head up! And good for you not putting up with their crap anymore. You live in that room too!
