When you are made out to be mentally ill... - Comments

  • @Youth and Whiskey - It's not me, myself that makes it out to be this big thing but everyone else. Either the make fun or they tell me it's all in my head. I am sorry I offended you. I never intended to offend. I was trying to get all my feelings out and I guess they came out the wrong way.

  • I'm mentally ill - suffer from manic depression. And you make it sound like this big horrible thing and they're going to lock you up. You, to me, make a mental illness sound absolutely TERRIBLE and being mentally ill makes you insane. I'm not saying you directly said it - but that's the impression I took and it offended me a little bit. No, it's not a walk in the park and it's not easy - but no one would even know I was ill unless I told them. You don't have this neon sign around you that says "I'M MENTALLY ILL AND I TAKE MEDICATION." No one will shun you for it either if they're somewhat of a good person. 1 in like, 3 people suffer from a mental disorder. It's not THAT bad, I promise. And if I sounded rude at any point in this, I do apologize greatly.

  • Clinical depression is a mental illness and there's nothing wrong with being mentally ill. It's just like having cancer or another kind of disease. I just thought I'd throw that out there.
