FCUK LABELERS!! + I'm in eighth grade and the 'popular' girls on my B-ball team are all ready talking about sexting - Comments

  • Have you considered talking to your guidance counsler about those girls? I completely disagree with the other comments telling you to ignore it. Those girls are young and making a mistake. If they're sending pictures, those could ruin their lives later on.

  • I should not leave patronizing comments on journals.

  • In middle school it seems as if people were obsessed with labels. It becomes less so in high school. I mean, they're still probably there, but no one just comes up to you and says 'you're emo because you like Black Veil Brides'. Labels still categorize how certain people feel about who they would fit in with, but other than that they're nearly unexistent.

The sexting is illegal. Just saying. There's nothing you can do about it really though.

  • Don't let someone "labeling" you get to you so much. I mean really, who cares what someone thinks of you? As long as you're happy with yourself, that's all that should matter. Amorar is right, judging is a part of life. It's human nature, we all judge even if we don't want to admit we do it or don't notice we're doing it. Having people judge you is a part of life.

I don't know either people, but it's very possible he could have tried to blackmail her and failed. There are a lot of people out there who will use sexting against you so you should be careful who you're choosing to do it with. People may not always who they seem to be. Just because he seems like the person to not blackmail doesn't mean he actually will never do it. Just sayin'.

  • I don't mean to sound at all degrading or patronizing, but I would just brush those things off and move on. Especially the sexting things, seeing as that's not even your problem to begin with... just be glad being labeled is the biggest of your issues these days (well, as far as I know, anyway), and live it up while you're still young and able :)

  • Labeling is a part of life. It's how we categorize people, and yes, we all make judgments. Not everyone necessarily slaps a name to those categorized judgments, but we all make them, even if only subconsciously. Labels are only a bad thing if you put that connotation to them.

It doesn't surprise me that 13-year-olds are talking about sex. Most of my high school friends lost their virginity at age 14. But that guy sounds like a douche. I wouldn't send anything revealing of myself (be it words, pictures, anything) to someone who treated me like that. =/

By the way, proper spelling and grammar are rules on Mibba. If you need help with it, there are plenty around who would help you.
