To all anti christian mibbians - Comments

  • rainsinspain: One thing. There were a few "evil" people within the system but it is far more due to conformity and obedience rather than something bad within that person. It's been shown in numerous trials that if a bloke in a white coat tells you to electrocute someone to death, most people will end up doing it. To say it is a mater of free will ignores this concept.

Additionally, doesn't this mean that the thread is now Godwined and therefore ought to be abandoned?

  • Let it be known that God isn't a robot master. He doesn't control our minds/bodies. He can't stop genocide, but he can give US strength to stop it. Which we kind of did, didn't we? The devil plays roles too

  • I don't think we should be looking at things like the Holocaust or genocide and blaming God for letting it happen. The Holocaust happened because of evil people who did evil things and it happened because good people did nothing for a long time. Just because God gave us free will, we're now going to blame him for letting us do bad things?

As for the personal crap that life throws at us (that we have no control over), there's only one thing I've really learned out of it: Everyone suffers at some point in their life. Every man, woman, child, dog, cat, niece, whatever. Suffering, sadness, regret, remorse, depression, death are all a part of life and there's no escaping it. The only thing we can control is how we are going to deal with it: are we going to succumb to the sucky feelings and be worse off or are we going to overcome them and be a stronger person?

  • Lucifer;sTrap - My mother doesn't even acknowledge the fact that I'm not straight and she doesn't believe in God. Merely believing in God does not automatically mean that they will act in certain ways as does the opposite is true. You seem to be blindsighted to the fact that there will always be X% of humans who will always be horrid, regardless of religious, political, demographic and ice cream preferences. It's the law of averages.

  • I'd rather carry around hate then love, to be honest. Call me crazy but I have my reasons.

  • It's not nearly as crowded as it could be.
    May 18th, 2012 at 01:44am
  • StandUp The earth already is over populated. Where's god in that? Will there be another Holocaust so god can bring more people to heaven so the world doesn't get overpopulated even more?
    I'm confused now..
    May 18th, 2012 at 01:43am
  • Does it comfort you to carry around so much hate?
    May 18th, 2012 at 01:42am
  • It does because God needs people to help him too. They die and go to live peacefully. If God didn't do this he'd just be causing the rest of us to suffer because the earth would be over populated.

There may be a God, but there are still natural occurrences such as death.

  • tnd437 Then why can't we wear out anti-christian/religion symbol around for comfort?
    May 18th, 2012 at 01:41am
  • Becaue we show our love, and you show your hate. At least that what this guy is trying to do. He's basically said he wants to show his hate and disgust four our religions. I don't know if THAT's what if you want to do, but if so, there's your reason

  • Hayley I used to ask my grandfather questions all the time about christianity. Hell, I even used to be christian. My grandfather was a huge christian, my whole family is. My family is also very judgemental. I've practically been disowned by them because I'm a homosexual. It's all because of 'god'.
When my grandfather was taken away from me, I still believed in god. I don't anymore. I love my grandfather and he didn't deserve to leave this planet. This is why I think the whole 'god' thing is a load of bullcrap. If god really loves people and cares, then why in the hell did he take my grandfather away?
Doesn't make much sense, does it?

  • @Lucifer'sTrap Death isn't bad, its a part of life. Actually its an inspiration for a lot of poetry. I was giving an example. And not all Christians go around flaunting their symbols. Some might, but others wear it for comfort.

  • I don't care to change anyone's opinion, I care for this kid to understand why this idea really should be thought over. He has admitted and proved countless times he doesn't understand the definition of religion, that he doesn't understand Christianity, and he doesn't know any history of the religion. Yet here he is believing he is better than us because he is too naive to understand that he is insulting and hurting people in this journal. If you want to have an opinion on something, you need to know your facts from both sides and every angle. This kid has tunnel vision and it will give him a lot grief later in life when he states this and winds up in a hospital.

  • I just wish he actually knew what being a christian is/feels like. Because he obviously doesn't.
    May 18th, 2012 at 01:35am
  • tnd437 I'm obsessed with death. I love the concept of it, and everything about it. Why wouldn't I make a symbol showing my love for death?
And why should christians or people of other religions be able to flaunt their symbols when those that don't believe can't?
    May 18th, 2012 at 01:34am
  • I say we should all just quit arguing. I mean, it's not like anyone of us is going to switch sides on here. We're slowing crossing the line of refuting arguments with counter-arguments to just throwing out personal insults -_-

  • I don't care to be the bigger person, that's what guidance councilors say to middle schoolers, he's a jackass and he should know it, he's telling everyone that we're going to die for believing in something he disagrees with.
