You don't seem like a failure to me hun. don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure your a really nice person. the type of music you listen to doesn't define you as a person so don't listen to rock if you'd rather country. And you need to worry about yourself don't worry about your parents disowning you, cross that bridge if it comes. If you need to talk to some one I would be happy to lend an ear, I do have two lol. haha sorry. But seriously Id be happy to help.

i feel the same way at times but lately i dont care i came to the conclusion that my parents will never be content with what i do or like so i dont care anymore and lately they have a ccepted my music the way i dress and dont trip so much about stuff dont know what got into them

I've never had the feeling that my parents ever really are proud of me
And I look at all my friends
They have things that make their parents proud, while I just have a piece of paper and a pen that my parents don't care about.
