New Mibba - Comments

  • Also, to add to the comments below, this is a creative writing site, I think that concentrating on our writing is the most important thing, not how our personal profiles are set out. Sure I too spent ages getting my profile looking the way I wanted it on Old Mibba. But I was and still am excited for New Mibba. Two Weeks is finally over.

  • I was nerdy enough to crunch numbers; as it turns out, more people like new mibba than dislike it. But the most-common statement was one saying they needed more time to get used to it. Which is true; no-one's going to know the site intimately after one day.

It's not going to change back. Most people don't want it changed back. I don't even think many of the people who've said 'change it back' quite want that; mostly the grievances are about the profiles. And as Bernadette said, while changing the profiles from old to new is monotonous, it's a simple fix if you know how to put the CSS styles into the HTML page.

You've been on mibba five years; so have I, give or take. So anyone around us looking at new mibba is comparing three days of new mibba with thousands of days on old mibba. You gotta give it more of a chance than that, especially as you seem to have liked the old one fairly well. It won't take that long to get into the new groove of things, and you never know, there's some parts of the site Dujo's still tinkering with, so some things might not stay as they are.

Just give it a little more time. I know that's irritating as all manner of nugget to get told, but you owe it to yourself/meebs given you've been on here this long.

  • The old mibba isn't coming back. This new site has been in the works for about four years, Dujo won't be bringing back the old site. This is the update so many members have been talking about for years. It's best to try and get used to the new site because this is how it's staying. Explore it a bit and get to know it. You never know, you might find yourself warming up to it. I personally have settled into the new mibba nicely with a little exploring and experimenting, I've learned how a lot of things will be working and am learning about things I don't know about. It's all about patience and effort.

The new site may be confusing for you now but with time I'm sure you'll warm up to and come to like it. Give it a chance and a few days. Explore and experiment. Things on the new mibba will get easier the more you explore the site. If you have any questions, there are lots of staff running around the site happy to answer your questions. Even regular members like me will be happy to help you out if we can, feel free to drop me a message with any questions you may have. ^^ You can also head over to the 'New Mibba' subsection of the forums and see what you can find there, there are some helpful threads. • I so agree with you! I was on mibba for three years and got so accustomed to it. And I like how the subscriptions where alphabectically ordered and said active and inactive! I want them to change it back. And all these people who like the new mibba are crazy! The new mibba sucks. I am so tempted to switch back to Quizilla because theat hasn't changed. This is new mibba is terrible difficult. I miss how my profile was laid out. Now its so boring and un unique.

  • Actually... Layout sites don't have to change much. They just need to put the CSS in the HTML and if you run an HTML website, you should know exactly how to. I can't complain because I hated the fact that I had to separate my CSS and HTML, when I make my layouts with the two combined. It's much easier now! And people don't have to bother with custom layouts unless they absolutely want to, so I mean... It's pretty nice, if you ask me, and I do have a layout website that'll get a nice updating tonight.
