Fanfiction is always fun, but original fiction is more my thing. Nothing quite compares to getting to know a character and going on a journey with them. My absolute favorite original story was one I read on fictionpress called Firebird. The author took it down, but recently she offered to send a printed copy of the entire thing to her fans. Whenever I need to feel inspired, I think of her. lol.
