Death of the Concert Ticket? - Comments

  • I love concert tickets, if they were no more I think I might cry haha I associate items, smells, and noises all with memories and when I find/smell/hear those things again it all comes rushing back and I love that feeling of nostalgia. So I'm totally with you on this Mr. Green

  • I agree with you one hundred percent. Everytime I buy tickets, I'm always looking for the 'will call' option, because I hate emailed tickets. I love keeping my tickets & it sucks sometimes when I have to give them to get into the concert. I'll always ask, "Can I please keep that?"
Hahah, but what I'm saying is you are so right. I would be so devastated if tickets were never will call, just emailed. I know it seems like it's not a big deal, to others of course, but to me it's a big thing. I like having my tickets & it adds to the concert experience, I guess. If I look at the ticket, I remember the concert & the memories made that day. So yes, concerts tickets on paper are a lot better than online.

  • vv - I understand where you're coming from.
v - I know, right! Some things are better left untouched. I could still find many old tickets if I tried hard enough (or remembered where I put them in the first place, haha) and it will always take me back to that place and time. That may also be why I am a clutter freak - I hold onto physical reminders because they speak volumes (especially with a memory like mine!). :)

  • For me it is all the same. As long as I get to see my favorite band, that is the only reminder I need.
