    @Airi.
    Yes, the church does say that contraception is wrong. I only lumped them together because they both have to do with "killing children" because condoms and birth control "waste" semen, though most American Catholics still use them.

    It's very good you accept homosexuals, it's nice to see people practicing what they preach for a change. We so often hear Christians spouting hate in the media that it's very uplifting to encounter a Christian who does know what love and acceptance is. (: So many Christians preach love and acceptance but fail to actually practice it with those who are different than them, it's sad really. People like that dominate the media and have largely given Christianity as a whole a bad name. It's sad that there are so many Christians, Catholics included, that have chosen to fight against gay rights and stand on the side of discrimination. Though I've noticed the Christian youth is slowly becoming more accepting of homosexuals, which is a very good thing. I do agree with you though that people shouldn't be judged for what religion they are, no one deserves to be judged and lumped together in one image like that. There will always be extremists and it's a bit sad that those extremists are often the ones who get all the attention.

    As for your second one, abortion and contraception are not the same thing and shouldn't be treated as the same thing. Abortion is the act of terminating a pregnancy. Contraception is used to prevent a pregnancy from happening. Being against abortion doesn't necessarily mean one is also against contraception because they aren't the same thing at all. Though doesn't Catholicism stand against the use of contraception at all?

    It really angers me when people form negative opinions on something without doing proper research first. Which is why I agree with your journal so much. A teacher of mine once asked my class the difference between Catholics and Christians. And, it was, a trick question. Hardly anyone knew that Catholics are Christians.
