Less Avenged Sevenfold, More One Direction? - Comments

I agree. I've noticed that there has been a lot of 1D stories out and I will be honest that I do like them, but I don't like them enough to write or read the fan fictions people have written about them. I used to be a BIG fan of A7X, but the last two years both my music and writing taste have changed. And I really do miss reading those stories, but I just haven't found any that peck my interest. I'm starting to adventure off to original stories now and I have tons of ideas for those kinds of stories that its so much fun just writing them up, but I've been kind of scared to put them on here because I haven't gotten the hang of the new layout design of Mibba. :/

I've definitely noticed that too. It's such a disappointment to me. And yeah, some slash pairings are really strange, but I just stay away from those. I like what I read to be realistic. More original fictions is great - maybe all the A7X story writer got a bit older and started exploring writing their own completely original stories? (just like me... haha) I didn't really think that that many people were quitting, but just more people joining who like One Direction and people already on here started liking them too. Blog section is really quiet, and same for the forums though. I guess everyone just wants to write stories and nothing else.

I have noticed that my fics seem to receive more attention now that New Mibba has been established. I've always had faithful readers, but it seems like have even more now.

I don't think it's just me, either. I've had other friends say the same thing. Perhaps it's just easier to find what you're looking for now.

But I only read My Chemical Romance slash stories. And most of my friends read mostly that bandom as well. So I haven't noticed an increase or decrease in other bandoms.

I've noticed all the One Direction stories! Probably because I have two girls on my friends list who are always recommending 1D fics.

That actually makes me sad... especially when you used A7x as a reference. Haha.

And I encourage the original stories! Mibba needs more of those! lol.

I hadn't really noticed, but yeah some slash stories (I don't read slash) don't make sense. And don't feel alone. You can talk to me. :)

I totally know what you mean. I've actually considered leaving myself, but not because o the site. Ive lost tons of my work by stupid computer glitches, like several thousand words a chapter. Im starting school again and I dot have the time or energy to be constantly rewriting. I don't know I I'm actually going to leave but it will be longer between, I just don't have the patience and asynchronous as I hate leaving projects unfinished and I have tons of plans for my stories, I just don't know if it's worth all of the work that goes into it. I have nearly ripped my hair out losing work and for what? Some comments and recs? Now, please keep in mind I'm not bitching or complainging, just stating. I dont have the time I used to have. Maybe that's what is going on with others as well. A lot of Avenged writers are school aged girls, maybe their lackin the time to write as well?

Although, I dont see myself quitting anytime soon, I have thought about it many times. I do have friends on here who enjoy my writing and as long as I can, I'll write for them. :)

Totally agree with you on this, especially on all the slash stories. Some of the 'couples' don't exactly make sense.

The blog section seems to be pretty inactive. I definitely have seen a lot more One Direction fanfics these days.

So...if the layouts aren't great, that means the story's bad?
