Yes, it is an ex. And it's not that I'm not trying to move one, because I certainly am, it's just the way circumstances have played that has made it abnormally difficult to do so. Not to mention the soul-searching I've done. There's a reason why I'm still drawn to her, I can't describe why because it's way too hard to explain.

is it your girlfriend? if it's not, they may just be concerned that you're focusing so much attention on one thing and drowning everything out. if it's an ex, then they're worried you may not be moving on. it took me forever (and a few suicide attempts) to get over my ex, but thank god i finally let go and moved on.

I find it strange that your family think its weird. I find it admirable that people can stay in love for so long. Its lovely! If I were you I'd ignore the lot of them, if she makes you happy then whats wrong?! :)
