I started some time this year reading the HP books and I'm 20, I regret nothing. :P I'm on the fourth book and I'm creeping through it, I'll finish it one day though. But you're never too old to pick up a certain kind of book.

I have no idea what that thread is, but that sucks they didn't reply. If you ever need any advice, you could message me, I could see if there's anything I could help with :)

I read HP in elementary school, and I terribly want to re-read them, but I don't own the books. I think maybe I'll just start checking them out at my school library and reading them. I like to read the big hardcover versions though, not the squashed-down softcover versions.

My reading with Harry Potter has always been something like this:
    4st book, Age 9.
    1nd and 2nd book, Age 13.
    3rd book, Age 14
    5th, and 6th book, age 16.

Yep. So I skipped around a bit, remembered the series, went back to it. Now I'm going to read the 7th book like a champion for finally completing my first series.

I just started Harry Potter for the first time as well.
I've onyl read the first book as well but don't have the second, but will be starting it soon enough.

And if they haven't gotten to it yet, maybe they will sometime in the future? :/

It's never too late to pick up a HP book. :) And that sucks that they never replied to your message. =/ Maybe they genuinely forgot?
