You really need to sit him down and have a serious talk about him beginning to seriously look for a job. You can't support your boyfriend forever, he needs to start pulling his own weight in the relationship and in life. You need to sit him and help him see that. Talking to him may be the best option.

First off, I'm terribly sorry you have this going for you. It's not right for a woman to pay for a man. Yes, it is okay for certain occasion. But it is truly a man's responsiblity to pay for his woman.

I had a similar problem, but my advice to you is.

There comes a time in a relationship where you have to draw the line. Yes, nine months is a long time to build up a love. But, it also is a long time for someone to realize the weakness of it all. I'm not calling you weak but he knows he can get you to pay for everything. My best advice is to lay it all out. But, be prepared to face the pros and cons.

You need to be firm and tell him "Look, I appreciate you and I love you to death. But, I can't keep paying for you. Education and finding a job of my choice is important. I need to pay for that before I pay for you." something along those lines. You need to be clear that he needs to find a job and it's not only because you don't like paying for everything but it's a good idea for him to have money of his own.

Have you tried speaking about it by telling him you'll help him find a job and you two can work on it together? If so, you might have to threaten to break it off if he doesn't find one and stick to it. But like you said, you don't want to end it and you love him.
