I'll admit, my freshman and sophomore years fucking sucked. I'm a junior, an upperclassman, now and it's been amazing so far. Junior year is the hardest, but it's already been my best year out of the previous ones.

But I do agree with the two under me, branch out from your friends and just do things that you like, once you're happy, things will start to fall into place.

What that last person said is pretty much spot on to what I was going to say.

In addition, if your friends aren't really making you feel wanted or hurting you, maybe it's time to move on. Don't burn your bridges, always be friendly and kind to everyone, but maybe branch out to others. Join a club you're interested in, spark up a conversation with someone you haven't really met in depth in one of your classes.

I hope school becomes more pleasant for you as you progress through the grades. And don't let crappy stuff bring you down. <3

The whole "high school is the greatest years of your life" stuff is total bull. I mean, are they years you'll look back on and wish you had back sometimes? Yes. Because the teenage years seem simpler when you've got bills to pay and a household to maintain and you can't afford to buy the groceries you need because your electric bill is about to be shut off and you don't have someone else to provide for you anymore. So, by all means, enjoy not having financial responsibility while you can. Enjoy not having to worry about how to pay rent or mortgage while you can.

But so many of the greatest things that will happen in your life happen after your teenage years. And that's how it should be. If the best years of your life were over by the time you turned 18, what the hell would you have to look forward to?

Try not to worry too much. The upperclassmen will graduate soon, and you'll take their place, and hopefully you'll break the cycle by treating the sophomores with respect when you're an upperclassman yourself. In the meantime, it sucks being left out by your friends and having a once tight-knit circle of friends change and maybe dissolve, but people will come in and out of your life for as long as you're alive, and they'll always have something to teach you, and while they're in your life it's great, and when they leave it hurts but you move forward with the changes and lessons that took place while they were there and those will be there your whole life, and it will make those peoples' presence in your life worthwhile.

I have no idea if any of this makes sense, and if it doesn't, I'm sorry. But I guess my point is, yeah, some parts of high school suck, and some parts of it are great, but you take the good with the bad knowing that none of it will last forever, you know?
