Finding a decent software development company is not easy these days, but I managed to find https://upplabs.com/services/web-and-mobile-app-development/ where I found a great development team. I was captivated by the fact that they understand that all types of businesses have their own goals and exclusive services. They developed an exclusive plan for me based on my ideas and combined it with modern technology.

I love the idea of the mini sites because I fit into a lot of them. However at the moment there seems to be too many problems with them. I don't blame the sites, I know they're just babies. But it's really frustrating and I can't seem to find a place to complain other than the mostly inactive forums.

And as Audrey T said, I would LOVE to have an original fantasy mini site, since that's what got me into writing anyway.

Oh my goodness, I would love a Supernatural minisite.
I could just see myself crying over all the stories.

I get it; do you know how many fanfiction sites there will be? Will there be any movie or tv show minisites?

Dujo's got no plans, at all, to ban/remove any kind of fiction (original or fan fiction) from the site, but he is planning to make some mini-sites for lots more niches (both in original fiction and fan fiction).

The point of the mini sites isn't to exclude or promote any one genre, but to gain new members for this Mibba. So if someone is searching for, for example, some All Time Low fan fiction, they'll easier find them on our All Time Low fan fiction site. Hopefully, after spending time there and meeting and interacting with our members, they get a little taste of Mibba and want to check out the main site. That way we can ultimately get more traffic (and more readers and writers) here.

We want to grow our community, not shrink it down in any way.

I can't wait until Dujo creates a mini-site that fits one of the fandoms I write in, or an original fiction site that fits the genre I like writing in - like a site for original fantasy.

Gah! If fanfiction were to be banned on this site, then damn it! I wouldn't have anywhere else to write my fanfics because, despite my Thundercats and Genesis fanfics being my only fanfics that I mainly write, I wouldn't be able get as many reviews for my TC and Genesis stories on other sites like I do here. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm all for trying to get to more attention brought to Original Fiction as well (since I have a few original fics myself), but I've become so used to writing on Mibba alone, that FF.Net and FP (Fictionpress) and a few other writing sites I've frequented, no longer make me feel as welcome and those sites require you to be heavily active writing in order to get any recognition whereas on here, we have an easier time of approaching members and starting a good conversation and stuff.

I'm wondering what will happen to the lesser known tags that don't have nearly as much popularity (IE: my fandoms, lesser known bands, cartoon fanfic, video game fandoms, etc). I know Dujo may make a Supernatural fanfic mini site since it's so popular, which is a nice thought seeing as how I write for that fandom, too. :)

If you mean the forum she was talking about in her blog to discuss the mini-sites, it's for staff members only.

The chances of an anime website aren't as low as you think Wink Hint hint.
I completely agree with everything you've said. You went in to detail with everything I meant to say, but...failed. XD
Creating this site specifically for original fiction, like I said before, would remove over half the community away from it. It would lose its homey feel, in my opinion.

Could you give me the link to the discussion page for the mini-sites, I've been trying to find one about it for like a week.
I personally like the mini-sites idea, very few people will leave mibba over it. Plus there are some fandoms which aren't big enough to make a site about so, I personally, will stay just for that. On the other hand, I really hope mibba doesn't become only for original fiction. Don't get me wrong, I love original fiction, but I like posting fanfiction on mibba.

I think these sites could help Mibba actually, there's a chance they could get Mibba more members in the end. I don't think anyone is going to really abandon Mibba for the mini-sites because like you said, they're a lot smaller with not as much to do. I don't see why anyone would completely leave Mibba for the mini-site unless they're strictly on Mibba for writing and don't actively participate in the "community" side of this website. Personally, I don't use the mini sites because bandfics aren't my thing. I'd use one if Dujo ever created an anime fanfiction site, but chances of that seem low. I don't really see those sites as a big "threat" to Mibba, I actually think it was a pretty clever idea to get this site branching out a bit.

With that being said, to the idea down below, I completely disagree with it. Yes, OF is underappreciated on Mibba but banning fanfiction is not the answer at all. Banning fanfics would only alienate people and may end up "killing" this site. At the very least, banning fanfiction would probably make Mibba a whole lot less inactive because of how many people would leave. A good majority of the writers on here are fanfic only writers so banning that form of writing would alienate a lot of current users and a lot of future users. Unless Dujo planned to do something FF.net and fictionpress, I think banning it would be very bad. But even if he created a separate site for FF, I still wouldn't like it. It would take away the community feel of Mibba and the community feel is one of the things I love most about this website. I don't know, I just think the idea of banning FF is a very bad one for this website. Besides, that'd be way too restrictive for users I think. Compared to other writing sites, Mibba is a pretty free place to be. I don't really think it'd be a good thing for this site to become so restricted and it would, again, alienate users and probably cause many of them to leave. OF does deserve more attention, but alienating fanfiction writers isn't the answer.

I'll never be impressed unless someone in Mibba makes a decent K-POP fanfic.

I agree with most of the comments here. Since fanfiction is very diverse and abundant in this site, I think it's highly possible that fanfic authors here will move to the mini-sites and then original fiction will prevail!

That's too far-fetched to me though XD

I like this idea! This way, people who love Hockey Fanfiction (holla me!!!) can read just hockey fanfiction and people who like different sorts of fan-fiction can read that as well.
If you don't mind telling me, what are some of the brainstormed ideas about future sites? Which ones are going to come next?

I agree with Brianna Marie too.
Many original fiction stories don't get recognized as well as they should because there are, in my opinion, too many fan fiction stories going on. Many of those fan fics are all over the place and just don't make sense but they still have hundreds of subscribers because they're always on what I call the "front stories page."

A lot of people don't bother to search for "that story" they just look at what's being update more often and read that. Wow, sorry I gave you a whole speech. My opinion on fan fiction is all over the place.

We would lose over half our members, though. If we kept Mibba solely original fiction, we could lose our whole standard community because so much of it is fan-fiction. I think that's why Dujo created those websites - so they they could be spread out more easily.

The minisites look prettier than this site. XD I think it's organized if one only wishes to read about the subjects the minisites have.

I won't be impressed until I see an SNL fanfiction on this site.

This might sound a bit rude, but I think it's good that Dujo is making fanfiction minisites and I wish he would make all fanfiction minisites and keep mibba just original fiction. That would be cleaner and easier to find certain stff :\ I'm just saying.
