omfg that whale and eggs thing is so adorable! I love gifts like that too, like thoughtful ones and whatnot. It shows that someone actually pays attention to what I like or what I talk about rather than just what I wear and stuff. Obviously I'm not good at following my own advice lmfao but I'm trying to get to that point.

It's so bad. Like they appreciate it but not that much. I don't expect them to be thanking me up and down but more than just "awe thanks" would be nice you know?

Holy fuck. 1200 would be too much to spend on people who are appreciative of it. It's your money, and no one gets to guilt you into paying for things they won't even thank you for. It doesn't matter what they think. Like The Real Slim Shady said, presents given or made out of love mean much more.

I come from a place where all of my friends have mansions and shit, and it's tough for me. It took me until a couple of months ago to find out who my real friends were, who I clicked with. Before, I had friends who were very unappreciative and always wanted moremoremoremore.
I felt like I had to get everyone nice gifts, or have parties with way too much... But then I got a reality check, and that mindset went out the window. I got my friend an Aladdin doll because she always talks about how in love she is with him tehe and she still loves it to this day. My other friend and I made clay whales and put them in eggs for my other friend who originally thought "whales laid babies." My sister's friend who graduated last year may as well of been the richest at my old school, and she got him a coloring book for christmas. And just... I dunno, what I'm trying to get at is sometimes it's the little things that can truly make people happy. I love the store bebe, but I'd much more love a photo album or something handmade than a $100 giftcard there. Cheese
