What IS unreliable is human interpretation of the Bible. Humans are unreliable not God's Word.

The fact that the Old Testament points to Jesus. And that the New testament tells us about what Jesus came to do for us. As a whole the Bible is reliable, even if I do disagree with certain individual statements in it.

How do you find it reliable? Like, what makes it reliable?

By no means do I take the whole Bible literally, however, I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one, as I still think the Bible is a reliable document for what it is. The main message of the Bible has not altered over time. And I think that's what matters most. And I think it is the only book that we need to know God. :) [that is it is the only true Holy Scriptures]

Which brings me to the point that the Bible is altered and you need to take it with a grain of salt because you can't believe shit. I have lot more qualms with Paul that just his issues with gay, women, and sex, however.

Paul didn't hate women, he actually had a female disciple, but that was altered in later texts by church leaders (changing the female name to it's masculine form) in the 2nd century ad. Also I have read that The verses in Corinthians stating women should cover their heads was a later insertion also in the second century.

I'm going to go make my mom read this and then let her know there's a chance I'll be marrying a woman. Weird

    Hail Kapow motherfuckers!

I've never had a problem with people who like the same sex because I think people are entitled to like whoever they want and it's nobody's business. One of my old friends has a mom who is gay and another mom who is bisexual. They were together for a while before she got with a guy and married him. Her mother who we call "Mama Cindy" got a girlfriend who stayed with her for many years. During a lot of those years I was in elementary school and we had sleepovers at Mama Cindy's house. At that young age I didn't understand the relationship between Cindy and her then girlfriend Tabitha but it felt very normal to me. I never questioned that it was weird or wrong in any way. It seemed as normal a setting as at my house with my mom and dad.

I really don't like people trying to make marriage equality illegal. In no way, shape, or form does the definition state a union between a man and a woman. We also have a seperation of church and state which many people seem to forget about. The world's just fucked up. And I have no problem with people being uncomfortable with homosexuality or even against it, but keep it to yourself. When your views start hurting other people, that's when I get a problem.

Well look at my little comment that turned into a rant. I'm going to go now.
