FAG HAG - Comments

Holy shit, you hit the nail on the head with the fan fiction and band fiction. Very, very true. And naaah, not a midori kinda guy I have to say. Jack Daniels is the go. Or Vodka and OJ, because low carbs and hydration ftw

perhaps we should be super classy and mix up some Midori and pineapple juice. Delish.
You know, it's sad, but it's really true. Some girls get seriously in to the whole gay thing, just like how some girls go crazy over Justin Bieber. The fact that gay fan fiction and band fiction even exists is just testament to that.

  • 1. Yes.
    2. Not really, no.
    3. Yes. Devil May Cry and foooooooooood. (I don't believe in God, so presents, family and food is what I look forward to.)

Agreed! What's sad about that is that it probably means it comes out of Australia.. another reason to be super proud of my country. But I guess it does mean that it's not as strong here... my friends and I often call each other faggots to just mean 'idiot' or 'lame'. I haven't met anyone yet who finds that particularly offensive but I do watch myself in public.

    I'm hoping so! He's a pretty tough-skinned kid :)

Tooheys new? Bitch you cray. Extra Dry is the stuff of champions. But yeah that's it exactly, I know plenty of gay dudes who are dickheads. Bumming dudes doesn't make you a nicer/more interesting person. Some girls just like the novelty.

It's always interested me how words can have such different meanings in different countries. c: It doesn't have any other meaning in the U.S other than being a derogatory word for gays.

It is a little surprising that he's so open and comfortable so quickly but I think that's a good thing, probably means he'll have an easier time dealing with and overcoming the discrimination he'll face. ^^ Sounds like he has a good attitude about these sorts of things which is always a good thing to have.

pretty proud of myself for not being a complete fuckhead. It's a constant struggle.
    ...joking.
but yes, ahaha I agree completely. I really don't think sexuality should be the thing that people wholly define themselves by. It's sort of like that part of Donnie Darko where they have to divide all these character situations in to either Fear or Love.. there's so much more to consider. I'm sure not every gay person is awesome either. I hate to be some traitor to my label or whatever, but dickheads exist in every walk of life regardless of sexual preference.

Agreed. A mass suicide of all of us Australians, tortured by 50 renditions of 'White Christmas' while we all lie around in thongs and Bintang singlets, fermenting 3 cans of Toohey's new in our stomachs. Now that is true class.

Yeah my mum isn't the biggest fan of it either, so I don't use it around her.. classic mothers. Christmas is the best!!!

    @ Airi.
Yes definitely, I have never called myself or anyone else one for exactly the same reason. I really dislike the word 'fag' (although it is usually just used to mean cigarette around here, but it can be used in that way and does have fairly negative connotations) so I never really say it. I was actually pretty surprised when one of my friends used 'fag hag' on me because he has just come out to his whole school and family so I thought he'd be more sensitive about it.. I guess it's all about who you're talking to.

Alright, you're not a complete fuckhead. Good job :). But nah hate people like that, if I were gay it would annoy the ever loving shit out of me. If you're gay and that's all you have that's interesting about you, you must be a shitty person.

And yeah it's the worst. How is there even so many christmas songs? What more could possibly be said that hasn't been already? The world will end on the 21st, due to a mass suicide because of all this shitty Christmas music.

oh dear lord in heaven above, I promise I'm not like that. I don't care what my friends are in to or which way they like to point their metaphorical libido, they're my best friends because they're awesome. The fact that they're mostly gay/bi is purely coincidental, and if I ever catch myself using the phrase 'my gay best friend' I will probably shoot myself in the arm.

and this is very true, who knew there were so many shithouse covers of every christmas carol known to man? I think Westfield likes to torture us with pseudo-rat-pack easy listening Christmas music until our ears bleed. For fun.

    @ tnd437
This is very true, people do what they want most of the time. I guess the label is just stuck with me!

  • "Fag hag" can both be offensive and non-offensive, it depends on who you're talking to and what context it's being used in. Though the phrase did start off as an insult to women who basically treated gay men like objects but it's kind of been changed into something less offensive. Personally to me, I don't think a woman is a "fag hag" unless she seeks out gay men to be friends with for the sole reason they're gay. That's treating gay men like objects in my mind. Though, I'd just prefer not to hear the phrase at all because I hate hearing "fag" be used in any way. It's up to you to take it offensively or not, but it sounds like your friend meant it totally jokingly so I don't think he meant it offensively. Though I would advise you to be careful who you say that phrase around, a lot of people do find it offensive.

    1. I don't think I ever have been.
    2. I think most phrases using the word "fag" are offensive because that word is a derogatory term where I live. I personally wouldn't appreciate someone addressing me like that.
    3. Not really. I have my reasons but they're rather personal so I won't say why. ^^

  • 1. I haven't been called one before, but I probably could be haha. I have a lot of gay friends, and love gay men.
    2. I don't find it offensive personally, but I know my mother does. Though that could be because her husband came out of the closet after like ten years of marriage... though she really is a fag hag lol.
    3. I'm so excited for x-mas! I love Christmas!

  • I've heard of fag hag b4

Can't stop what people want, they're going to get it one way or another.

    It'll happen when it happens.

  • 1. Lol never heard the term fag hag before but it's awesome and I intend to use it in the future.

    2. Nah, some people just are like that. Are you one of those idiots whose all like "OMG GAY GUYS ARE JUST THE BEST THEY'RE SO CUTE I WANT A GAY BEST FRIEND"? If so you're an idiot and are one of the worst things for the gay community.

    3. Nah not particularly, going to be hot as fuck and my mum's side of the family will all be at my place and I'll probably have to drive to go see my dad's side. Gonna be a long assed day. But I'm looking forward to it being over so I don't have to hear god awful Christmas music all day at work any more.
