I'm looking around to see if I can get a few of my Thundercats fanfiction published because I kinda want to write a few tie in novels and stuff for the original series, but other than that, I have this story idea that's been bugging me for years and I managed to write this whole thing out once and it's going through it's tenth rewrite. :) Currently, the world of writing is beginning to feel like a popularity contest. I don't know why, but it is because people are more interested in stories that are related to music (1D more or less). >.> Actually I do think electronic books will kind of ruin librariews because I see a lot of books that I've been wanting to read being turned into audio books and I kinda don't like it. I mean I don't mind it for other people. but I'm the type of person who likes to imagine what's going on as I read the story. Having someone else read the book to me kinda ruins it for me.

Ooo, how much Thundercats you got written up? Have you got synopsis sorted etc? When you publish carry on's etc of others stories, you have to pay them commisions don't you?
I won't ask what the idea is lol, as long as it doesn't turn out to be similar to mine and steal my position :P TENTH! rewrite. Wow! The one I'm working on got to ch10 in it's original form before I realised that it just wasn't my exact style, and held too little interest for me. The new one changes it to suit my style and interests better.
Yeah, I do see what you mean. I noticed as soon as people get a little bit of fame as well, they suddenly release a book. "Hello, you've seen me on tv a couple of times. That's a good enough invitation for me to get a book written up and published. Now flock to the stores and buy, buy, buy in bulk!" Lol. Terrible these days, aye.
I tried and audio book once. The only thing I liked about it was that I was carrying about a book whilst walking etc. The same with e-books. I find them easier to read on the go and at night, because phone's lit up lol. But I still also go for the good old physical, pages binded with glue, book. It also depends on if the e-book is substancially cheaper. I'm not going to buy a book that is £5.99 when the e-book costs me £1.46. That sort of thing does help to kill off actual books. No time whilst I'm alive though.
