    I did. The radius isn't a comfort zone, my comfort zine is so small hahaha It's there because its for safety. It's rather large and I've even went to a mall and applied all over there.

    I live in a very small town and the places aren't taking anyone because my town is notorious for stealing and whatnot. It's all for safety and its sad. That's why I'm just having to start with my business that will do well where I live.

    But thank you for helping:)

    @ Psychotic Secrets Did you apply at the places that aren't hiring? If you haven't, I would because businesses keep applications for up to a few months. That's what happened to me with one of my current jobs. I applied at a place that wasn't hiring and they called me about a month later for an interview. And did you try out of your comfort zone/radius? Sometimes when jobs are scarce you have to sacrifice something possibly nearby for jobs open farther away.

    I do agree that not a lot of places are hiring because business can be really slow during the mid-winter season. I would try towards the beginning of spring and or right before summer vacation starts in your area. That's when places are really looking to hire.

    Loans would never be able to get paid back. And plus I wouldn't even know here to begin because they don't want to 'deal' with it.

    They have it fixed in their minds they didn't go to college or finish high school so it's not a big deal if I don't. Plus my brother has a better chance of doing something with his life anyway.

    @ Usako

    That's exactly what my mom says but I done all I can. Where iLife there is like a radius where I can apply and those places are either not hiring or won't take me, I like literally stalked one store for a few months. But after a while he told me there was no need because of experience.

    So I'm hoping with the business it can count for something and try during the summer or right when school starts again, when all the kids are leaving their summer jobs. So I'll have more of a chance and an experience.

    It's wrong that your parents are favoring your brother. That probably makes this situation sting even more for you.

    As lame as it sounds, you have to keep trying for jobs, and it may not be a job you want in the end. Try for fast food places and corporate stores like Wal*Mart. That's what my friend is doing. She works at Qdoba, doesn't have any loans for college, and is taking a few classes this fall at a local college to slowly build her degree in Business Administration. Her parents aren't really helping her either.

    Anyways, after interviews, keep hounding employers because you might bother them enough to get a job. Even if you don't get interviews, keep going back and bothering them. Always, always, always. It's hard to get a job with no experience because employers don't know how you work. You have to start low somewhere.

    Oh, wow that is fucking terrible.
    May I ask why you wouldn't be able to take out loans?
    I mean, they're killer but my mother took out loans for college
    consecutively for her bachelor's and master's degrees;
    I'm doing the same with my bachelor's degree.

    Anyway, it's really not fair that your parents are favoring
    your brother over you. I hope things get better soon.
