    I know exactly what you mean; the only person whoever encouraged me to be a write was my dad. Even my mom tried to steer me to do something different, but my dad made me do what I wanted. Now, I'm happily writing short stories and working towards doing some sort of graphic novel, like my dad wanted me to

    I've been a writer since I was a kid too, but I knew my passion for writing was real when I started Sixth Form. I began looking at Universities with Creative Writing BA's and recently learned that if I get an MA in Creative Writing it will further my chances of getting published. And now I'm a first year English & Creative Writing student at University.

    And it's nice that your family began to encourage your creativity, my mum encourages me as well with my writing and if she hadn't I'd probably be doing a degree I hate right now instead of one I love.
