Anna and the King!! It's one of my favorite movies of all time. It's a version of The Kin and I and it's one of the most beautiful movies I've seen.

Oh wait. It IS only 1 season, but it's 19 episodes. I'm getting confused because I have it on several disks, and each disk feels like a season haha.
    I shall :P

Wow. That's a bit extreme. All I ever had to hide from a partner was my internet history XD

It's so... pointy XD That's MASSIVE.
I'm going to be looking that up tonight, when it's dark and I'm up all alone haha.

Bethlem looked like this before it was moved to it's new location. That was the late 1800's, there.
I, too, find it hard to understand the way people were treated. But I also find it really, really fascinating to research. My dad was in an orphanage when he was younger where he was abused by the nuns there. He has a billion stories about that. I think my fascination in twisted things is all his fault, haha.

Why did I think it was only one?!? Facepalm Yeah, I'll probably just do it in a weekend then or something. I don't know, depends on what happens when I start watching. lmfao
That's what my cousin said about the show! I don't know. Maybe I just don't like wordy authors or something.
Yessss! You have to. And then you have to come and let me know what you think. lmfao

He was THE BIGGEST BABY. Oh my God. It was kind of adorable but totally not at the same time. He was scared of dolls in general and mannequins and just... ugh. He used to make me hide any kind of dolls in my house before he'd come over.

Ahhh that sounds difficult. I'll still check it out though. Maybe. Probably. lmfao

This is what the asylum looked like before they tore it down. They had tunnels underground going all over the city, I guess? There's pictures of the walls before they tore it down where there's peeling paint and images from the patients and things like that. And I know teenagers used to sneak in at night and take pictures and try and outlast each other and stuff. They were awful to the patients there. They didn't even keep record of who was buried in what grave and just buried them out back with numbers marking the grave and stuff like that. You should maybe look it up. It was the Danvers State Insane Asylum or Danvers State Hospital. Totally creepy stuff.

That sounds like this asylum's counterpart over in London! Awful, awful stuff. Scares the crap out of me, really. It's just like... incredibly hard to fathom or something. I don't know.

It's 3 seasons ;) That's too much Claire Danes for ANY mere human being. God, she's lovely. :3
Really? With the TV series, EVERY WORD feels important. And I tend to miss a lot of little things, apparently. It gets confusing. Or maybe I'm just stupid and unattentive XD
I was told the same thing by my sister XD After Game of Thrones XD

Bwahaha, I love when guys are scared of things in movies. And they jump, that one time when you don't.

It wasn't in cinemas. It was hard to find in Australia, and I think maybe only released in the UK? It was a total flop. I really couldn't believe that at first... but yeeeeah. The twist wasn't twisty enough haha

Oh. My. God. Let me get this right. You live close to an ABANDONED MENTAL HOSPITAL!?
    No.
    Move house.

When I was looking up the Bethlem Hospital I found on google maps the 3rd (I think) building that the hosiptal moved to, because the previous one was literally falling apart. They were still living in this building with crooked walls haha. This was still when it would have been classified as a lunatic asylum, and where people were severely mistreated. Chained right up tot he wall, not fed any fruits/vegetables and barely anything at all, because it'd make them "less insane". For the first winter (in the middle of fucking London) they refused to give the patients' glazed windows for their cells, because of something to do with the cold keeping the insane things away O_o Looking at the building now, the wings where the patients lived have been demolished. The center is still used as a war museum and you can see parts of the wall around the place still remaining in places. Creepy XD

lmfao I will totally be prepared. Knowing how I operate I'll probably watch the whole thing in one go.
The books are sooo hard to get through if I'm honest. I don't know. I think there's a lot of unnecessary filler but a lot of people love it.
You should totally watch Grey's. God. It's shipper hell and crazy dramatic but SOO good. Hahaha.

I watched Gothika years ago as well. I don't even know. I don't remember it being that bad either but I watched scary movies and stuff all the time back then. Dead Silence sounds awful though. I have an ex-boyfriend who was terrified of that stuff and I think it totally rubbed off on me.

I don't think I've ever heard of that one? I don't know. I've seen SO many movies I think they all kinda blend together sometimes. XD

I don't live next to it but it's kind of close to me, yeah. It's up on a hill and the frontal lobotomy was invented there? At least I think it was... there are conflicting reports, I believe. It's really creepy. They tore a lot of it down - only the main building remains - but I still feel really creeped out and scared when I go up there. They were awful to their patients and my mom worked there before they closed for good and stuff. She has some crazy stories of that place. It all just scares the bajeezus out of me. lmfao

Be perpared to watch more than 1 episode, haha. I watch the whole damn season sometimes :( It's so good D:
My friend is reading the books, so I don't have to XD I'm the one pausing the episode every 5 minutes, asking what the hell is going on haha.
    My sister loves Grey's Anatomy.

I remember watching Gothika yeeeears ago because my friend said it was scary and... it wasn't all that bad in my mind :/ Scariest thing I've seen in a while is Dead Silence, because I don't much like living dolls :S That was a psycological thriller, I guess, but a damn good one in my opinion.

I recently watched Red Lights with DiNiro in it. It was... okay. Cillian Murphy's acting and gorgeous eyes got me through that.

You live next to a psychriatric hospital? Screw that :S I was researching the history of the Bethlem Royal Hospital in London back when it was a loonatic asylum. Not so fun.

I know My So-Called Life is on Netflix and it's in my instant queue so I'll probably check that out as soon as I've got some free time. I've never been into the Simpsons and I haven't seen the other two. I'm trying to read the books before I actually watch Game of Thrones. I might just have to cave though.
Personally, Grey's Anatomy is my go-to. I can watch that over and over and over again and never be sick of it. It's crazy.

lmfao I'm such a chicken! Gothika is another mind-fuck type movie. And, um, Hide-and-Seek? With Robert DiNero? That was a pretty big screw-with-your-head movie.
Session 9 I only watched because it was about this insane asylum where I live. I actually made it through that one. But it's creepy as hell.

I do that, too :P I'm addicted to My So-Called Life and The Mighty Boosh. And Futurama. And The Simpsons (seasons 1 - about 9). There was something I found a while ago called Dead Boss that I fell in love with, but they stopped making it after 6 episodes. Now I'm into Game of Thrones haha

OH NO! You didn't finish it!? Oh that's worse. That's much worse! I don't think I could do that to my poor brain XD It'd be like watching a horror and turning it off before the monster is killed lol
I'm gonna have to check out Session 9, haha.
I never got into Saw. I don't like gore. I like a good mind-fuck lol

Yeah I totally hear you. I have the same thing from a couple of my TV shows. I've never been huge into movies. I mean, they're great and everything but something about putting on a TV show and watching a whole bunch of episodes... I don't know. XD

I couldn't even finish Shutter Island! It just freaked me out. Same with this movie called Session 9? I don't know if you've ever heard of it or seen it or whatever. Eeeek. I wish I enjoyed that kind of thing. I mean I like being scared but only if it's like scared of a mass murderer in like slasher films or somebody like Jigsaw from the Saw movies or something. I don't even know.

Hahaha ahhh... I know what you mean.
I can get anxious though I wouldn't say I have a disorder. Some of the movies on my list of awesome put me in this amazingly hard to explain mood. Things like Moulin Rouge and Breakfast on Pluto, and Bunny and the Bully especially, for some reason. I don't think there's a name for that feeling yet, haha. It's not necessarily bad. But, I think it comes from being the person I am. Others don't really "get" the movies I love haha.

Shutter Island did my head in. Inception made me depressed XD Things like that I LOVE though haha.

Oh my God you are my hero! Thank you sooo much.
And you totally should do the challenge! I'm going to post a blog soon and just keep it updated or post one once a week or something to update my progress. I think it'd be fun.

I don't like psychological thrillers mainly just because of my anxiety disorder. They tend to do weird things to me or something. lmfao
