Completely agree with this.
I'll admit I love a bit of drama, but it shouldn't take precedence over the plot. It should fit in with the overall feel of the story.
I think the skill of a good writer is to know their strengths and weaknesses. There are some people (well, a few people) who can pull off massive amounts of drama because that's what fuels their story.
Anyway, I'm rambling now. Judgement Day is perfect the way it is.

I don't know why, but whenever I read a story that involves some sort of "tragic accident" (in which the character usually ends up ~magically healed within a matter of days) I just cringe. I hate when people write those incidents in to make their character more pitied and sought-after.

I think your story is fine how it is! Besides it's your story, just do what you want too!

Drama is good, if done well like you said. I never really like it when people try turning their stories into some damn soap opera. Sorry, if i wanted to see Michelle going into a coma, only to have an evil twin sister doing her boyfriend while plotting his death, I would've watched a soap opera or if i wanted to see a boy and a girl trying to make the other jealous, i would've stuck to high school or real life.

I don't think you need romance.o.0 I mean damn, you already have conflict, they should check out the latest chapter.
