I'm not religious. I believe there is a higher power, I believe there is a place after death. Just not how the church view things. I agree very fondly of this post as you mentioned with religion, they tell people abortion is murder, that it is wrong but...children suffer every day, they are neglected, abused, unloved. Why bring one into the world to suffer? Why bring one that is unwanted? To me that is more selfish. I know someone with 13 kids. They don't get a proper christmas because the mother uses that money for her own selfish means - a paycheck from the government is all it is to her and the kids are not taken care of. She's pregnant from what I understand with her 14th child. The point is, we don't know - you're right. I don't think abortion should be used as a way for birth control...but I also think one should not judge just by the covering of a book. It is in human nature to but you're right, no one but that person knows why they are doing what they do. I'm pro life and pro choice I see both haves as neither right or wrong. As for being gay - I agree. I don't think it's wrong either.

I was Baptist but the church never accepted me. So I went with Methodist, that church kicked me out so I don't really go by the church's standards because to me the religion they teach is a double standard but I do see where you're coming from, I just can't say I'm religious because when one thinks about it the church is more hypocritical then the belief. I just perfer to keep my beliefs and church seperate. As for the debate with that kid, tell him to quit speaking from ignorance because what he was saying, raciest wise was very ignorant. Race has nothing to do with religion.

Oh course I respect you opinion because everyone has one and they should be all respected.
I'm a Christian (born and raised) and believe in God. I don't really have anything to say about the same gender-marriages because I can see the augments on both sides. Love has no gender, and as long as you are happy with that person, then good for you. On the other side of this debate, God created man and women to be together. Not 2 men or 2 women.
Abortion is really the women's choice, but personally I would choose adoption. At least give that baby a chance to live, since you only live once.
Please respect my opinion because I have respected yours.
Good job on this blog entry btw! Smile

The Baptist church is not a "black" church, per se, it was actually founded by the English. And, I mean, with any religion, you are never going to meet eye to eye on every single level. I'm a Catholic, and a progressive one at that (prochoice and pro-gay marriage). Even in the Baptist church there are hypocrites, I mean, look at the Westboro Baptist Church.

However, I'm really happy about you finding God in your heart. What a wonderful feeling! Don't mind what those other kids are saying, and just stick to where you feel in your heart you are being called to.

I'm not religious at all, but I agree with what you said about same-sex marriage and abortion and stuff.
