You're welcome and that's true. But then again, people always try pointing out everything wrong with any kind of female icon, whether they're the disney princesses or someone like Lady Gaga fighting cyberbullying.

Ariel was the only princess to save the prince first, too!

Her and Pocahontas are my favorite.

I think I heard that it was one of those "you have to know somebody" events. I hate not having connections. Why can't I be cool?!

They probably did that event and let people into the park or they already had people in the park and had that area blocked off. I wish I could have seen it, too. I probably would have stolen away the princesses though because I love them all too much. File

Merida's actress really did do great at playing her. I laughed when I saw her swinging her arms like that, always good to see the sassy, carefree nature of Merida in her actors. XD

I'm almost scared to see how much those people paid to be there. o.o That had to be so incredibly expensive to actually get tickets to that. Was probably very well worth it though. I don't think I'd have the money for it either, but it's nice to dream. XD

Yeah, I heard from Facebook that they did it on Saturday. tehe
I watched it and it was so beautiful! I'm glad that she rode in on Angus and that she walked like Merida does in the movie with her arms swinging! And I loved how amazingly unruly her hair was! XD
Yeah, I think it's unfair how they don't do it at Disneyland over here. I'm only about 30 minutes away or so depending on the traffic.... but then I'm poor and tickets are expensive. Facepalm

Thank you. Hug Some people just like having something to bitch about I suppose. It seems people only enjoy attacking the princesses, they never notice anything in any of the other movies. I mean, in Wreck-it Ralph for example, there was a fighter who ripped out a zombie's heart and Satan in the movie. No one cared though. I mean, I don't care and I love Disney for putting that in, they've always been good at the subtle adult joke thing. But if that had been in a princess movie, people would have been raging over it. I mean, fans cannot even talk about Merida possibly being a lesbian without hell breaking loose about it. Facepalm People seem to either be ignorant about the princesses or are just looking for something to bitch about. >.< Disney can teach anyone a good lesson, princess movie or not. Since I used Wreck-it Ralph, I'll use it as an example again. That movie teaches us to love ourselves and teaches us that our faults should empower us, not weaken us. Vanellope had a fault, but she turned it into her strength instead of accepting it as a weakness. If only people would stop picking on the company for silly things. v.v

    @ park chanyeol
It makes me sad people can't see past Tiana's skin color. Her skin color really shouldn't be so important like people are making her out to be. I've had many people tell me I shouldn't like Tiana because I'm Caucasian. It's so ridiculous. I'm glad someone else sees the good in Tiana! She deserves so much more love than people give her. v.v

    @ Aishiteruyo.
Hmmm so they did. I'm guessing it was done yesterday or in the last few days since the video was uploaded a day ago. Last I heard, they were doing it in June. xD Thank you for mentioning that, I found it on YouTube. It's times like this I wish I lived in Florida, why couldn't they do it at California's park? D: The California park may be six hours away, but it's a hell of a lot closer than Florida is. XD I'm really glad they got actors who could do Scottish accents, the lack of an accent was my biggest fear about her coronation. Her coronation was so beautiful and I love how in character Merida's face actor stayed. :3

I love you even more now. Weird Your top three princesses are the same as mine. c: Oh and thank you, I'm glad you liked it. ^^

    @ Once-ler Hina
I'd actually forgotten about Cinderella doing that, thank you for mentioning it. ^^ Cinderella is a really strong character for being able to do all that she did, people really don't give her as much credit as she deserves. I definitely agree, every Disney movie has a lesson behind it, though it seems the princess ones are always being attacked for one reason or another. No one cared about the dark scenes in The Brave Little Toaster for example, but people would have cared if such scenes were in a princess movie. v.v
    Thank you. ^^

    @ January Rose
Thank you. c: Haha, it was a lot. I think it took me like an hour to complete, but it was all worth it.

    @ Chloe
I'm a little surprised you've never heard it before, it seems to be all over the Internet. It's not as common to do anymore as it was in the past, but it still seems like a pretty common thing for people to do. I don't understand why people don't consider her a princess. She's the chief's daughter and to an Indian tribe, that's pretty much like a king. So she's technically a princess. More of a princess than Mulan was, at least Pocahontas had some royal ties. XD I just did this list based on Disney's official list, which is why I didn't include princesses such as Kida and Giselle since they're not official ones. ^^

    @ Death The Angel
Well children are easily influenced people. They don't need to dissect something to take meaning away from it. Children are incapable of looking past the surface, but you don't need to look past the surface to see the good in the princesses. Children can see the good role models just from watching the movie. For example, my neighbors eight year old kid loves Merida. I asked her why she loved Merida and she responded that she loved Merida because she was brave and loving. She didn't seem the deeper meaning Merida stands for, but she knows Merida is a brave and loving character, which is why she looks up to Merida. Some people think kids (young girls in particular) take bad messages from the movies, like thinking these movies tell girls to be homemakers when that's usually not what kids take from these movies.

Mulan always has and always will be my favorite princess. Jasmine and Pocahontas were third and fourth, but Tiana is now second. Out of all of the princesses, I can actually identify personally with her and it's not just because I am also black (which people have actually said to me -__-) it's because I too am struggling to achieve my dreams with little finances. While I am glad that Disney finally created a black princess, I'm more happy about her background and life that they decided to showcase to the world. It's stuff like that that is inspiring to not just kids who love Disney, but adults like myself as well.

I have yet to see Brave but from this blog and what I have been told, it seems like a really good movie I need to see soon!

There's a reason why I respect you so much and you've basically just shown it here. Ugh, this blog is absolute perfection and I hate when people only read on the surface of Disney without even trying to look beyond it.

As a side note, Disney is always trying to put positive messages in everything they do so why would people think that the princesses are any different?

I love the disney princesses. <3 My favorites are Cinderella, Ariel, Jasmine, Mulan, Tiana and Pocahontas.

I do agree with everything. People don't realize how much the princesses inspire people. Not just to make girls feel beautiful, but to tell everyone that message. A message that any girl can be a princess, whether she's disabled, black, white, Japanese... chinese... whatever. That's what I like so much about the disney princesses. They go beyond the traditional princess that is spoiled rotten and always relying on other people to do things for them. I like the Disney Princesses because none of them are like that. None of them got what they wanted without going through some sort of challenge or obstacle just to make that dream or wish a reality. They had to fight for what they believed in and that's one thing that's always inspired me.

I really like this blog :) It's good to see someone sticking up for the Disney Princesses for once haha

My favourite princess is Belle XD

Also what I don't get about people who rage about how the princesses are bad role models is that they talk as if young children are going to understand and dissect the meaning of each movie and what it means to them because they're too young to take the meaning to heart. >_>

This blog is awesome! Although I have never heard anyone criticize Disney princesses. My favorite is Pocahontas. She is one of my biggest idols even though I don't know much about who she "really" was, just her Disney version.

Ariel is my second favorite, because she is the girl who actually breaks free from her world to find where she really belongs. I don't think she fully abandoned her family, because in the end they were all there to see her wed, and her dad gave his blessing.

I also love Mulan and Rapunzel a ton. Really, I love all the Disney princesses, and I'm so impressed you actually included Pocahontas in your blog because most people do not consider her a princess!

I really liked this blog. I knew that the Disney Princesses were good role models, but I never thought of them like this. Great job on this blog entry and wow, that was a lot of typing.
My favorite princesses are Ariel and Rapunzel, then Jasmine and Tiana, then Belle and Mulan. Then the rest of them.

Cinderella also forgave her red haired stepsister (Anastasia I think?) in the second and third movies because in the second movie, Anastasia actually went to her about the baker's son that she liked and in the third movie when Lady Tremaine got ahold of Cinderella's fairy godmother's wand and changed time, setting things up to where the same stepsister marries the prince, Anastasia felt it was wrong and Cinderella forgave her. Cute

I've always seen Triton as an overprotectve dad who wasn't quite ready for any of his daughters to leave the nest.

I love all of the Disney Princesses. <3 I really don't care what people think about them. They're all strong in their own way and they're pretty strong role models and Jasmine did her fair share of fighting and being a tomboy in the Aladdin sequels, so, yep, they're all awesome. I think all disney movies have something to teach us though. Cute

This so much! I never get when people say some of the stuff that they do about the princesses. I guess they didn't watch them the same way that I did. Merida is one of my favorite princesses, my next favorite is Mulan and Belle. Ugh, this was just so perfect.
