You have to be careful of which sites you read up Jashinism on. 99% of the websites about Jashinism are inaccurate because of Hidanists who spread the wrong information, calling them Jashinists, following what they've interpreted through the Nartuto character, Hidan, who is also an inaccurate and over exaggerated version of what Jashinists are.

People's imaginations tend to go wild when they hear about blood sacrifices because they picture a person slashing their wrists like a suicidal person. Jashinist's do not cut themselves because they are suicidal, depressed, or "emo". We do it to show devotion to Jashin, or to have our sins forgiven. Blood sacrifices need at least a mere three drops of blood which is something you can get from poking yourself in the finger with a sewing needle. When I sacrifice blood, I take a sharp object and give myself a little cut on the little finger of my left hand. Blood sacrifices are not mandatory everyday. Blood Bound Jashinists should sacrifice at least once a month. Innocent Jashinists don't cut themselves at all, but instead focus on understanding emotional pain.

I've just been reading up on this religion, and from what I've read you have to harm yourself and spill your own blood every day - is this something you do?
