I’m Musing About Why I Prefer Mibba Over Other Websites (& Come Give Mibba’s Site Betas Work to Do!) - Comments

I'm a long time member of FP and FF and MM. I have to say that I love Mibba more than the other sites as well. I mean I got a following on Fanfiction.net but there's more of a community feel over here on Mibba. And Mediaminer.org is pretty dead, sadly, because there used to be a lot of activity there and I used to love posting there until the ghost town feel crept up on it...

Stories dont get taken down because the author sends a mob armed with pitchforks and torches to bring down the theif. Sometimes the author just mentions the stolen content and fans lose their minds and go psycho on their own. Its understandable but not productive in getting it taken down. In the end the fans report it with an "oh my god its stolen!!!1!!" but Im sure the admins there dont look at it unless you provide dates of original story to compare with dates of stolen. :/ Reguardless though, its definately the worse site for copyright infringement.

I FP/Mibba because I get ego flattering feedback on one site and constructive on another. Usually mixed between the both. I hardly understand the crazy community on FP though, their forums confuse me probably because its all roleplays and no help threads.

Yeah, I've noticed that FF's staff is pretty flaky. It sort of scares me to post there since I've heard so many tales of stories getting stolen and the staff refusing to do anything about it. v.v But I guess I still post 'cause they've got a big anime following over there so my anime stories get more attention.

Mibba is just amazing. I've been here for a while (I think since 2007, that year is stuck in my mind. Maybe 2009?) and Mibba has grown so much since I first joined. The staff are just wonderful, beautiful people that do help the site as a whole. I know other writing sites where the staff are there but they don't really do anything. Here, every staff member is genuinely nice and considerate. The members themselves here are nice too, which is a bonus. What makes me happiest is every staff member is so helpful and nice to me, especially the Admins. I think without them (all staff and members) Mibba wouldn't really be where it is today.

I agree. I like Mibba for the community as a whole and how there are actually still Admin left. I too did the Quizilla thing, and left for the same reasons. Viacom distroyed what was left of Quizilla that I enjoyed and the forums (the main reason I was ever on Q, died with the site). FP and FF just dont get enough attention from admins, Im ways looking over FF on FP andsadly the community there is lacking so those people dont really get help with their stories. (sadly I cant correct them all). As for Wattpad, Im mainly an NC-17 writer and that site is only good for PG-13 and down because anything over that doesnt pull up in searches to keep lying 12 year olds (cough cough) from reading them.

Mibba overall is the best site for community and reading Ive found.
