I don't judge people because they smoke. I feel that whether you smoke or not doesn't determine how intelligent you are, and I think it's silly that people think that it does.
I don't smoke, as you might tell. I don't mind it when people smoke. But I don't like it when they put the cigarette right in front of my face. This one man wouldn't stop smoking when I was seriously sick. I couldn't move though because of the situations I'm in.
It's not always that non-smokers want to rub in your face that smoking is detrimental. It's because they might have asthma, find the smoke irritating (sometimes I cough a lot when a lot of people are smoking), or have some sort of long-related illness, whether it's a minor infection or bronchitis.
My father used to chew and every time I found a container of it, I threw it away and didn't feel bad until he promised me he'd stop.
A friend being angry at me for telling them smoking is gross really doesn't matter in the long run, if eventually I can bug them enough that they'll cut back or stop all together. It literally kills so many people every day and I don't want someone I love to be one of them.
