I think I've heard of the Wicked Lovely, I'm sure they have that at a discount book store near me (I'm a cheapskate XD) so I'll check it out. And the Demonata series I've already read, I love Darren Shan and have every single one of his books XD Been collecting them since I was about 12ish, love em to bits and the twist is just jd\hjasfhajhfajhdasj

Thanks for the reccs, I'll chem them out Mr. Green

OK Well I can recomend the Wicked Lovely Series, personally I've only read Ink Exchange and I'm not sure it's really horror, but it's fantasy. Anyway You could also read the Demonata series, now it is a horror series, as well as action, adventure, mystery and I guess I might call it a thriller, you know the kind that always has an interesting twist at the end.

    Bonechiller
    Soulless

I'll remember more later, but I guess you could also read The Graveyard Book, it's not really scary, but it's something.

I write both fan-fiction and original and have no inspiration for either, sadly. If you could reccomend published books however that'd be great, especially if they're horror books, mwahaha. Once I get home I'm gonna play some Skryim or Fallout because they're RPG's and normally help get me thinking.

    @ ladyschrei
That's a good idea. I've been trying to work on my stories in progress but I'll check out the prompts and maybe do a drabble or one-shot to get my-self started.

    @ cadaveres literarios
You are most awesome!!!! Arms And that website sounds wicked, I'll check it out. Kinda reminds me of writing sprint from NaNoWriMo so I'll give it a try and hopefully it'll spark something in my mind to get le inspiration flowing. Thank yooou~

    @ dru is on fire.
Yay for smiling <<<3333 And yes, alcohol and pop-tarts *drools* You can get some flavours of pop-tarts here but they're so expensive it makes my wallet sad :c

    @ The Sun God
I reccomend checking for horns, pointed tails or 666 on your forehead. If none are there, you're probably good.

Edit after the initial shock tehe

What usually helps me is sitting outside listening to music and wait for something to happen that inspires me.

If not, oneword used to get me writing hardcore tehe they give you a prompt word and you have 60 seconds to write about it. I used to use it as the initial idea and then expand from the 60 seconds that I managed to write.

  • Have you tried maybe just writing a few short stories? Maybe try some prompts from the Writing Prompts thread?

  • When I have writers block I usually write fan-fiction so I can get some idea's for my original stories...or just try to read something new. I've been reading a lot lately, even though I don't actually have writers block at the moment. I could recommend some book for you if you like. Actually You could even read some stories other people have written to get some inspiration. Watch a movie, listen to some music, watch TV, go for a walk and look at the work around you, explore, or heck even play some video games. Look up some stuff you've been interested in.
