He'd signed a contract with the company he worked for to do at least ten from my understanding. Once he died most or all of those were handed to Paul Newman, including Cat on a Hot Tin Roof I believe. I was all Nooooooooooooo when I found out. :(

James Dean is fantastic. I think he was the first actor to either be nominated for an Academy Award post mortem. Isn't it awful we could have had at least ten more films with him in them? :(
