I agree with the comment below. If your boyfriend is afraid to irritate Jenna in fear of something happening to Emily, I see no reason why he should try to get custody (but this is just my opinion from this blog and the other). Hope everything works out. :/

Honestly, if she's unstable to the point that your boyfriend fears that anything he does or says can cause her to hurt his child then it'd be best for him to take her to court. It is the best thing to do in order to keep her safe and as long as he can prove that he's been willingly paying child support to this woman I believe he'll do fine. It may also be a good idea to find out if he kept anything recorded or written down during his time with her to back up his claims that she could snap at any moment. Maybe some friends or family can write up their own detailed report of anything they'd seen or heard?
