Haha yeah, you're probably right. I'm not too worried about "shit being thrown at me", but he probably was just joking around. I'm an pretty hilarious Cool

  • Oh god, getting involved with someone else's boyfriend in high school is the worst. Not speaking from personal experience, but there were these two girls in year 11 (when I was in year 11) and girl no1 had been a fwb situation with this guy in year 10, anyways at a party the guy was dared to kiss girl2 (girl1 and girl2 were best mates, btw) but girl2 continued the kiss longer than necessary, essentially hooking up with the guy girl1 was sexing. Basically, girl1 and girl2 got into a huge fight (fists were thrown, the bruises were hilarious) and people wouldn't stop talking shit about both girls. They're also both super popular, so EVERYONE knew. But they made up mid year 12. The guy got a black eye, it was so funny.

Moral of the story: I'm not too sure but I think I was going along the lines of people in high school seem to think that everything that happens revolves around them and affects them personally, so if you get involved in someone else's boyfriend, I can see shit being thrown at you, to put it bluntly.

Also, perhaps it's just me, but I don't think he sees you in a romantic way. I think he was just joking around and having fun with you, but not meaning anything behind it. But maybe it's one of those 'you have to be there' moments.

  • If he's got a girlfriend, it's probably best not to get involved. You don't want that kind of a reputation whilst you're in school when everyone acts like everything is their business.

When I was 14, I had a crush on a guy 2 grades above me. He was a swimming instructor and I used to have swimming lessons some days when he was working. Ugh. I remember one sports day after he'd seen me at swimming he said to me "hello swimmer girl" and like, we'd never spoken before that at all ever and it just did my head in. We were in the same home group, but that was it. He got a girlfriend eventually and I sorta just kept admiring him from a distance. That would be my advice. Until a boy breaks something off with a girl, then he doesn't like you nearly enough for you to waste your time.
