I TOTALLY agree with your rationale! I'm so tired of these fans that are bitching about no tribute to The Rev in this video, I'm sure these guys still struggle with the loss of their best friend and it's ridiculous that these people who claim to be fans aren't more supportive of the ENTIRE band, not just Jimmy.

I have been ranting about all of the comments about Matt's hair too. I mean, come on, so what if he has long hair? I think it looks OK on him I guess, I'm not a fan of long hair on guys, but I'm not sleeping with Matt either, so what the hell do I care? LOL

Now Syn.... Loving the shaved sides he's been working, LOVE his shoes, in fact, I LOVE him altogether.

Actually.... I just love ALL of them I mean, trust me, I'm definitely more into the music than I am into them personally, but I'm not blind......

I posted a blog similar to this one because I was so damn mad at these so called fans who are cracking it over Jimmy not being honoured or represented in the latest video. I don't understand why fans expected that... I mean, did they somehow completely miss the Nightmare album and everything related to it or something?

And it is a bit creepy how some fans go overboard and become completely obsessed with bands. I'll admit I do know some trivial facts about the members, but it's just from shit I've read. I don't remember their birthdays and bake then a cake every year or shit like that. Haha. But I do know their names and who is who. Haha.

I have to admit that I disagree about Matt's hair being wonderful, but that's just because I don't like long hair in guys. I don't honestly care if he keeps it as, but for me personally, it does affect his level of attractiveness. Haha.

Btw, speaking of Matt's arms... Am I the only one that noticed he appears to have no under arm hair? Hahaha

I don't get it either... And I do know which one is which. Lmao. Though it did take me several years to figure that out. I had dial up internet for the longest time, and I didn't CARE what the bands I listened to looked like... I just love music. But once I did... Oh boy. Not to say I stalk them or would scream or cry when I met them... But there might be a little drool involved.

I don't understand why people who don't even know them are upset about the Jimmy thing. Yeah, Jimmy was an amazingly talented man who will be eternally missed (I never met him either). But so? He was their brother and they deserve to be able to put him to rest, and move on the best they know how. I highly doubt they're forgetting about him, or betraying his memory, by not devoting their futures to mourning him. Somehow, I doubt that's what Jimmy would have wanted. I think he would have wanted to celebrate his life and continue to do what they loved the most. I think they HONOR him by continuing on. And REAL fans, will respect that and support them however they choose to do that. I'm not saying everyone is gonna love every single song they do, and they're entitled not to, but people should respect their choice to express themselves in different ways every time they make a new record. I do. I personally enjoy opening a new A7X CD and listening to it and hearing what direction they've gone in this time... It's so much more exciting than the bands that use the same sound over and over and over again.

I dont think Jimmy (I cant speak for him but from what I've seen of him before his passing) would have wanted them to linger on his death for ever and ever. He would have wanted the band and music to go on and he would have wanted them to go onto bigger and better things.

People just make me so damn mad. Crazy psycho fans who act like they know a band member better than the people who actually spend pretty much every waking moment with them do.
Its kinda pathetic.

Maybe its because Im not obsessive over anything like that. Yeah, I like stuff. Hell I love stuff. But I dont go around searching them out and staking out hotel rooms and screaming like a banshee when they make an appearance. I listen to the music and if I like it I listen to it again. End of story.

i totally agree with you here. I've been an avenged fan since 2005 and i never really noticed how good looking they were until years later. I agree with your statement about focusing on whats being sung not who is singing it. The fact that the guys are goregous is just an added bonus to the music.
I've put up a blog post about "fans" going all bat shit crazy when Hail To The King came out. There was some serious Arin bashing going on and people were all butthurt that he is now an official member of the band. I just want to punch those people in throat. The guys have lost someone who was a brother to them, more than a band mate, more than a friend,.....a brother! and you know what, they took time for themselves and they've finally come out with something after long last. The fact that they found Arin is a godsend. I mean the kid has some wicked talent. He has some big shoes to fill but he is not replacing Jimmy! No one can do that but the band must live on. The music must go on. The guys have to move on. So what if there was no Rev tribute in the video, they remember him every single day im sure. Jimmy would be proud of them for getting back out there!
I'm certainly excited for the album and i love Hail to the King.
