Pregnancy Update *If Anyone Actually Cares* - Comments

  • @ One of a Kind;
damn haha. well the father of mine broke up with me back at the beginning of the year and when I finally told him he started calling me a liar and saying it's not his and wants a DNA test because he thinks I slept around after I broke up with him.

Nah, he pretty much bailed when he found out I was pregnant then he did some stupid stuff and got hooked on some nastyness. Last I heard he was in jail... to be honest I don't care what happens to him.

Well I raised them for a year, then my aunt adopted them from me. She can't have kids so it's perfect. ^^ I was having a hard time financially so, I figured it'd be best for them in the long run.

I know, my mom didn't have morning sickness or anything either. But when she missed her period she knew she was pregnant haha.
Oh wow. I'm glad I'm not having twins, I don't know what I would do lol.

    Thats odd!
I found out I was pregnant with a baby when I was six weeks, because I was active I took a test every months just to be sure... but I didn't know I was having twins til I was like 13 weeks and 4 days?

^^ I'm not sure if I'll get pregnant again, all this hassle kind of puts me off. Though, I only really got to experience the joys of it during my 3rd trimester because I didn't find out I was pregnant until the end of June when I already seven months along, because I didn't have any symptoms, except losing my period but my periods have always been irregular and would go away for a while for no reason so when I didn't get it, I didn't think "oh I'm pregnant" I just thought my hormones were acting up again.

Yeah it makes me angry, but I am planning on having a water birth at home with a doula, midwife and whomever wants to be present. ^^

Yeah lol when my friend had her first daughter, she was in labor for 36 hours and had her natural. These doctors and nurses just don't care about the mothers, they just care about their paycheck and everything, it's pretty bad.

    IT IS.
My friend was induced and once she had the pitocin they were basically all over her, "It hurts I'll call the lady down to give you an epidural," and never even asked her if she wanted it they were in her face to make money off her - it's not about whats comfortable for the mother when she is in labor they want it easier on them.

I was in labor for 36 hours and they were trying to give me a pitocin drip to make my labor go faster and I told her if she stuck that needle nearly my IV I was going to jam it in her neck. XD Pitocin can stall labor and cause for an emergency C-Section, I refused it, I went through a pain med free labor and it was worth it.. though I really wanted to have my babies while squating, gravity would have helped but again - they want you on your back so it's easier for them to catch the baby....

Ah yeah, every time I say something or my mom says something, the doctor just looks at us like we're stupid. I don't think they like to be proven wrong. I really want to keep him in until HE'S ready to come out. If he's not ready right now, then I should just wait and let me come when he's ready. He's healthy and everything, good heart beat and he has his days where he's constantly active, then has days where he's not so active but still moves around some.

I think the whole thing is just money, to be honest.

Well, honestly you can refuse an induction. If the baby and you are healthy and there are no concerns you can just not show up to the induction they can't force you to be induced. Also, a due date is just an estimation not an eviction notice. My best friend went to 43 weeks and her baby was just fine, of course keeping check of your kick counts and the heart beat are important but if everything is checking out okay - then there is absolutely no medical need for induction.

I fought my doctor tooth and nail with that before I switched to a midwife with my twins. She wanted to induce me at 35 weeks because she didn't think I'd make it full term but I refused because I didn't want them outside my womb until they were ready.

I learned early on that I had to speak up, and sometimes yell to get my doctor to listen which was really annoying.

Well I just don't think the doctors should induce people unless it's absolutely needed. One of my friend's is also pregnant and due a week after me and her doctor wants to induce her. Another friend of mine just had her baby Wednesday and had to be induced but her due date was Sunday so she was late, so I could see why she was induced, but for the rest of us? I don't see it lol.

I'll keep that in mind though :D

    I totally understand lol
I went into my 36th week ready to just have the babies when I was pregnant. Doctors can be really weird sometimes. If you're getting angry with your doctor you could probably look into switching to a midwife even though you're just about due.

    Honestly, they're much better imo.
Of course I'm planning on being a crunchy mama; cloth diapers, extended breast feeding, homemade baby food anti baby rice, extended rear face car seats, the such. ^^

If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message. :D

Thanks. I'm just tired of all these doctors lol. Everyone keeps saying different stuff.

  • ^^ Good luck! Try to go without pain meds! It's really not too bad. I did it. I know when I decide to get pregnant again I'm having a home birth.
