people hardly know what they want to do, and if they do, reality changes it all of the time. I feel like you: not enthralled about college. 
I have no dream school or academic inspirations, but I'm going through college because it just feels like the thing to do. I'm also painfully introverted. Today, a girl borrowed my chair and I ended up standing for a couple minutes during class because I was too shy to ask it back. 
I'm taking a semester off to do some thinking. I hope we both figure out a direction.
You have no idea how relieved it makes me feel to hear that someone else is feeling the same way I am. Being introverted is the worst. I probably would have done the same thing you did with the chair thing. Haha. I don't think that there's anything wrong with taking some time off to figure out your life
