Obsessive Korean fan girls are called 'saesang' fans. (I think that's how you spell it.) They're the crazy stalker fans and probably the ones that get so buthurt about their idols dating people.

I don't think I've ever gotten upset over a celebrity I admired having a girlfriend. Maybe I'm just weird but I've always recognized that there is never a chance of me being with that person and that any fantasy I have of them is very lighthearted and for my own amusement. I mean, I was 14 when I really got into My Chemical Romance but I never hated on the members for being in relationships. I was very happy for them that they were able to find their special person. And the same goes with Korean and Japanese idols that I'm into today. I wouldn't care if they were in a relationship and I wouldn't take my fantasies to the extreme.

Haha. This was kind of long. Sorry.

They shouldn't, but the world doesn't seem to have much common sense left in it anymore. >.<

I know. which is why I think fans shouldn't be so crazy, you know? But most fans of most of these idols are teen/preteen/tween girls and they'll get upset over one small minor thing they deem wrong.

Eh that's probably why most idols just don't bother, you know? Dating is more work than it's worth. I think that's why most celebrities in general don't bother dating for a while. The no dating rule really does serve no real purpose, the only reason its there is to satisfy the insanely possessive fans. Most of the time, idols getting caught dating is covered up by their management and people never find out. It's just unfortunate for Minami that she was so popular, her management couldn't cover it for her because of her popularity and fame.

It's just kind of an ignored thing. We only notice it when it causes a problem and even then, we only notice it for a few days before we forget about it and go back to normal. We're too much of an apathetic society to really care.

But that's insane though because paparazzi will always be following them around and they always take pictures to start scandals, so, the whole "No Dating" rule is a bit hypocritical and useless, no matter what country the idols are from.

That's the thing though, they're not supposed to be leading normal lives. Most people don't think celebrities in general should be leading normal lives unfortunately. That's part of the problem with us, we don't look at them as normal anymore. v.v If a young idol falls in love, they're expected to wait until they're older, keep it a secret, or just not go for it at all.

I wonder how Idols in general are supposed to lead normal lives despite their careers if they can't visually date (meaning thier dates can't be witnessed). I mean it's not like idols or celebrities can help falling in love or anything because things like that are normal for humans in general.

Come to think of it, back when the Beatles were first starting out, John Lennon had to hide his relationship with his first wife/girlfriend and keep it a secret from the fans because the manager thought that it would distance the band from their fans.
