They're playing in London at the weekend so obviously I can't get to that one. Manchester is the nearest city to me and they're only playing four nights in the UK

Me and my friend agreed we're going to leave the concert early so we get home at a reasonable time, but whether that's enough to persuade him, I don't know. Thank you for your advice anyway!

Ask your dad if there's anyway you can draft a contract of responsibilities for you to adhere to until the concert to get a one time rule bend as an early Christmas present. Offer to do some extra chores, and make sure you get all of your chores and homework done. Definitely keep your room clean.

Maybe if you offer that he'll be willing to consider it. And if you tell him it would be a one time question, he might be more willing to consider if he thinks you won't ask again.

My parents were really strict about school nights but when they let me try spending the night at a friend's house and we weren't late to school, they let me continue to spend the night as long as I wasn't late to school.

(Also, promise you'll get up for school on time and request your homework from your teachers a day in advance and get in done in advance.)

    Okay.
    Well.
For one I'm dying to know what band it is. lmfao
My parents always say no, so I don't have any really intelligent magical advice to give you, but definitely, definitely start asking now. It's good to give them a little time to think about and process things, especially big things like concerts.

Perhaps you can set up an arrangement with your parents. You know, do extra chores beforehand, do all your homework when you get it, clean the house? I used to make arrangements with my mum whenever I wanted something on school nights. It shows you're mature enough to understand the situation, or something.

I agree with what Tholomew Plague said. Also, what if you promised to go to school the next day? I know that might be hard to do, after staying up all night for a concert, but if you make the effort to go to school the next day, maybe he'd agree.

Possibly get your friends parents to talk to your father? If they are letting your friend go, obviously they think it's safe enough. You can also see if your dad would be willing to let you go if you called him periodically to make sure you are okay and safe, and call him to let him know you are coming home when you are. I think hes more worried about your safety really, but using the school night thing as a cover.
