Hello again, old friend - Comments

  • Relax! :)

Getting into a good school is not that hard. As long as you have decent grades and a good ACT/SAT score (depending on where you live), you don't need to stress out. I was worried once I got to high school that there was no way I'd be able to get into college and not kill myself trying to get amazing grades, but I got accepted to all the schools I applied to & it was really easy.

I'm not sure if you've applied or not, but most applications are online and simplified from the way they used to be. Hardly any of them require an essay, instead they just ask you for a personal statement (about a paragraph or two) and you fill out the rest with facts.

Many of the admissions applications also double as scholarship applications. I was pleasantly surprised when I started receiving scholarships through the mail from the schools I applied to. Then there's FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), which I'm sure you already know about. It's a little more complicated than the admissions applications, but not worth stressing yourself out over.

Just relax and take this all one step at a time. First apply to the colleges, find a secondary scholarship that fits you, start your FAFSA, and keep up with how much money you're going to need for each school. I won't be hard to get it will all the aid that's available.

Honestly, do not stress yourself out to where your eating disorder comes back. I promise you that it is NOT worth it, because when this is all said and done, you'll wonder why you were so worried in the first place.

You can message me whenever if you want advice or info on any of this stuff. I'm in the process of deciding between two universities right now and did everything on my own to get here, so I definitely understand the amount of stress on your shoulders. :)
