Wake up, Mibba. - Comments

I feel the exact same! It's so hard to become an active member on Mibba when nobody else is willing to be! I remember a time where everyone on Mibba was so helpful and it was flourishing! Hopefully we can get there again, all it takes is people putting themselves out there and giving without knowing whether you're getting anything in return or not. :(

I actually started ignoring the blog section for a very long time because of this! It's just so disappointing. I posted a blog a little while ago asking for people to help pray for me and my sister who were going through some health issues at the time and I got all of two responses, and yet whenever I post a 'giveaway' blog I'll get up to twenty. Originally my Halloween Giveaway blog required people to leave a helpful comment on someone else's blog, but nobody would even do that. Seriously... it's not that hard.

So I understand your frustration! If I had have seen your blog I like to think I would have helped.

That's the worst. I do see that happen to a lot of people who do banners. I don't think you should feel obligated to make banners for anyone but yourself and your friends!

I gave up on making banners for people when I started being used for them. Certain people were only nice to me so long as they were getting a banner and as soon as they had it(after much complaining because it wasn't perfect in their eyes) they took it, never credited me and then vanished, moved on to the next person to mooch off of.

I got sick of it, so now I don't offer anyone(but my closest friends) anything.

That's why I don't ask people on here for anything and why I don't expect reviews or recommendations. I don't do "giveaways" or swaps; I'd rather people like my story for what it is instead of trying to force them to like it.

I talk to people on here because I genially love having a conversation with them. I do not normally ask for anything in return. Though it's a shame people would do that to you or anyone else in that matter

I'm not perfect either and it took me a long time to learn to give back, but that's why I wanted to point it out, just so people know!!

People basically rape your mibbi gifts and it's bad and those people should feel bad that they use you

I get the feeling, though, that I am, and while I try to support people here with recs and subs and comments, I don't read as many stories as I used to, and I feel bad that I probably have comment swaps left unfinished. I have... two reviews, I think, to write, as well. :c

You are so right. I know I'm not perfect (and I have never claimed to be) but I know I can do more for my follow Mibbian. Thanks for writing this though!

I know exactly what you mean which is why I 1) stopped commented on giveaway blogs and 2) stopped offering. I don't appreciate doing something and it not being appreciated at all so I just don't. I also try to give what I get and even though I can't always comment immediately, when I do a comment swap I do get to everyone I swapped with. Some people, I know just want to get and get and get things regardless of what it costs to the other person, ex) time.
