Social Networking brings out the worst in people. I honestly wish I could go back to a time where people lived in small communities/villages and we were all connected. People seem to think that, because we interact online, we are somehow not connected: like the only form of connection between our actions and the responses of others is a superficial, binary connection that doesn't affect the one receiving whatever it is we do. It's sad. It's absurd. It's infuriating. I do not understand so many people, and I am sorry this has happened to you. It is common these days to be treated poorly online because people become savages when behind the mask of a screen.
