Hahaha your grandmother knows how it do it right. My ex just finished watching Sex in the City with his girlfriend to get her to watch Lord of the Rings :P

See, I think that's really fair. There should be like an even mix between who does what, it shouldn't just be assumed that the man does certain things and the woman cooks and cleans. Like, right now she's cleaning and he's sitting in the living room playing his guitar obnoxiously lol. Especially with the tv, why should she have to ask his permission? My grandmother everyday for the last twenty years makes my grandfather watch Days of Our Lives at 1:00 with her. It's gotten to the point where he just sits and watches it with her xD

Right? If my future husband thinks I'm gonna treat him like the "master of the house" or whatever, he's funny. I feel like she sometimes does the cleaning for herself, but she doesn't really like cooking, she just feels like she has to.

I'd get annoyed being around that kind of situation. My parents broke gender roles because my dad can't work due to disability so my mum works and he cooks and does the washing, etc. My mum steals the TV to watch her soaps :P

I don't understand how people can't see the situation they're in with something like that, and stand up for themselves. I think if your mum enjoyed the cooking and cleaning and such then that'd be a whole different story.
