Inspiration wise, I love listening to full albums. Anything by Placebo or All Time Low when it comes to slash, Sempiternal by Bring Me the Horizon, Endgame or Appeal to Reason, and Green Day's 21st Century Breakdown are some of my go-to writing albums.

It is most definitely inspired by Zelda. I don't think there's a connotation for Hyrule that isn't, though.
And yes, let us cat lovers unite, and dream of all things cat! I feel like that one girl from that eHarmony thing who started crying over cats. All the cats.
