  • I feel this. I'm living this in some ways. I'm 28 and have been married for eight years. We don't have any kids yet but we are trying really hard! I also feel like my life would be extremely useful and I'd feel accomplished if I just had a family that I loved unconditionally. I was raised in the old school way. All of my family were very religious people and believed that women were the cooks and care takers of the home while men worked. I mean the women in my family still worked, but it was like their duties to make sure dinner was on the table.

I mean they weren't beaten or oppressed if dinner wasn't made on time or anything lol. It hasn't been the dark ages for awhile. I work myself and so does my husband. He works longer hours than I do and makes more money on the hour. His money is the basis of our financial support. I don't have to work as many hours because he does. So I feel it's only fair to keep his laundry clean and handy and to make the dinner.

I LOVE to cook anyway so that doesn't bother me. Besides, if he tried to make dinner....he'd probably burn the place down, bless his heart lol. So I totally get what you mean. My happiness is making others happy and caring for them. There's nothing wrong with that at all.
