Oh, hey, no, it's cool~ It just shows how passionate you are in your choices which is always a good thing.

I've tried to understand and see the appeal behind Minecraft but I don't see why it's popular but I can understand that to some people it can be enjoyable. So I just sit back and let it be another popular thing in video gaming and enjoy the things I enjoy.

Something my mother taught me was that if you don't enjoy something your friends seem to enjoy or if someone asks you to participate, simply take it all in first, prejudging, and then once you've acquired the skill, the taste, the idea behind it decide then, not before.

Besides, life's more enjoyable that way without someone being an elitist member or it being some sort of 'cult following'. I like my way of living - it's simple but still I can experience things without judging someone beforehand! :3 It's how I've always been, simple, easygoing, and free to anything life throws at me!

    Now I've ranted, sorry. Whistle

When I mention it to real life people, I have to tell them it's not "video game music" because I tend to get funny looks saying my favourite artist does the Minecraft music. I try not to prejudge people, but I don't enjoy looking like a total loon either! XD

"little things" and the rest of his previous ones are for the most part name-your-price, so if you like those you can download them free. I have vols Alpha and Beta, Seven Years of Server Data, little things, life changing moments, and some tracks from one, but the Minecraft ones are the best.

I get what you mean, about liking it better if someone else shares an opinion. C418 himself hates all his music and himself, and constantly rips it apart, but I don't listen to his self-hating jabber because he is talented and I like his music.

    Whoops, rant. Sorry. :3

I am someone who judges but I don't fully judge unless I get to know someone/thing personally. Of course, I never expected you to know that so you may have been right in your assumption, but honestly, dude, you shouldn't make that assumption for people. (:

Just some friendly advice for next time~ <3 Thank you, it really was nice to hear your personal choice because it means more to me than going in blindly because I feel it makes me connect to another person more than any other way. I still personally like one but I decided to purchase the Minecraft album instead.

Sorry I didn't specify; I usually avoid mentioning it because it was for the game Minecraft so people assume it is chiptune. It's ambient. And I love it. <3

I was hoping people would give me their personal choice to prevent this problem.
I will try that album out, thank you~!

Oh my gosh, you were certainly bored enough to do this - thank you so much! I listened to them all and probably found a good few of them to add to my music, so thank you. A lot of them I felt benefited more from the music video rather than the song by itself, but I can't seem to say it enough but thank you.

    @ C418
Thank you for the suggestion, having listened to a few of them, I found only that 'one' was the song that felt relaxing in any way. Sorry, and thank you so much for that wonderful suggestion~! (:

    @ hush puppy.
This left me quite speechless. I had to stop watching the video and just listen to the words because the both of them together was very powerful. Thank you, dear, I'll certainly be adding that one and any others I may find from the EP~ (:

    @ Aris.
I somehow did all the suggestions you gave backwards, but honestly... MY GOD! Where did you descend from? Honestly, Nicole's voice is so... bittersweet in a sense - sweet in sound but so bitter when you hear the subject of her words. Dog Teeth was the only one I found I couldn't bare to listen to what with the subject being VERY close to heart, but thank you so much! She's so beautiful!

Keaton Henson is beautiful~ I'm not quite feeling Small Hands but all the others you listed were sending me in a tranquil state. I don't think I moved until the songs had ended a minute beforehand. Personally, Flesh and Bone effected me until it was over, even then I just wanted to enjoy the experience more.

BRIGHT EYES caught me by surprise the sudden change in the way he sings the songs is a bit much in some places but I have enjoyed Landlocked Blues, the chorus of Lover I Don't Have to Love kept me listening to the song but it sounds very 'one night stand-y'... I might just put this aside for now and give it another listen to another time and day.

Manic Street Preachers took me a long time to go through each of the songs you listed but I enjoyed PCP and ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayitsworldwouldfallapart, it reminds me quite a bit of The Stooges and Sex Pistols and System of a Down (not a fan of but I've heard their music through an ex) combined, and that was nice.

The three you listed first for Neutral Milk Hotel gave a very 'loud' vibe like he was just belting out the lyrics to the fast paced instruments playing. It wasn't horrible but your personal favourites were by far more mellower than the first three, although am I supposed to be listening to the studio version of those songs or another version?

Thank you so much, hun, I did enjoy the trip I took with your music, a lot of it was quite depressing but enjoyable as well. (:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you all so much for you wonderful selection of music! I'm going to have a lot of fun adding all of them in and giving them all another listen to over and over again~! (:

Bumping what Join The Masquerade said because I saw Placebo in December last year and it blew my mind - amazing live band, amazing band in general. Some of these suggestions might be a bit hit and miss because my music taste is everywhere but at the same place all at once.

    Also:
Neutral Milk Hotel. I saw them a few weeks ago and I spent an insane amount of money to get to london to do so. I adore them. The 'starter' songs tend to be In The Aeroplane Over The Sea , Oh Comely and Holland 1945 . My personal favourites are Three Peaches, Oh Sister and Little Birds.

Manic Street Preachers. We all know about the mystery surrounding Richey Edwards. A very intelligent band, its lyrics from Richey's time with them are unparalleled - political and insightful. Very british. The starter songs for them tend to be - If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next, A Design For Life and Faster. My favourites are 4st 7lb, PCP and ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayit'sworldwouldfallapart. A lot of people tend to favour Motorcycle Emptiness, however, it's not one I'm too fond of.

BRIGHT EYES. You'll fall in love with Conor, trust me. Starter songs - First Day Of My Life, Landlocked Blues and Poison Oak. Well worth checking out Lover I Don't Have To Love, Waste Of Paint, To Love and To Be Loved, Padraic My Prince... every single song, basically. Shockingly good aha. I personally adore everything and wouldn't be able to pick out favourite too well.

Keaton Henson. I'm sure, looking at your music, you'll like him. You Don't Know How Lucky You Are, Small Hands and Party Song. Worth looking at f.r.i.e.n.d.s and Flesh and Bone by him, as well.

And finally, a VERY acquired taste, which is Nicole Dollanganger. A lot of people don't give her much of a chance, but I guarantee you won't regret it if you do. Popular ones are; Dog Teeth, Ugly and Hair Lockets . My favourites are Please Eat, Fleurs Captives and Barren. I had to listen a few times to appreciate her, but god, was it worth it.

Also, I love your music thus far. Maybe barring BMTH. I adore The Smiths, The Cure and The Young Veins especially. And maybe the Beatles.. saw Paul McCartney a few years back aha - Hey Jude is the best song ever live

there's this really soulful Irish guy with a great EP out. His lyrics are like poetry and the instrumentation and drama of the piece (song just doesn't do it justice, in my opinion) is absolutely breathtaking. /endmusicalbabble

I'll just drop a song here:

I can't link, but anything by C418 is fantastic background music for writing or art. It's beautiful and there's a lot of variation. Many albums are available for free on bandcamp if you like them. ~

I adore The Cure but only have their "Greatest Hits" album, unfortunately, which I'm sure you've heard all of. I also really like Bon Jovi. I saw them last year with my mum :P And The Ramones! So I guess to give you an idea of my favourite songs, I really really adore Cut Here by The Cure, (You Want To) Make A Memory and Livin' on a Prayer by Bon Jovi and I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend, Blitzkrieg Bop and I Wanna Be Sedated by The Ramones. Mr. Green

I've been trying to get into The Smiths. I heard a local band cover their song Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want with just his acoustic on the edge of the stage to a small crowd of people that sat on the floor in awe. Beautiful song <3

I'll recommend you some songs and I'll even make them link to their youtube videos, because I really can't find anything better to do :P
