Aside from what's said below, you could possibly get people to do a comment swap where they read and comment on both of the stories, so you have feedback from the same person on both stories. I think that would be really useful.

You could also try promoting the other story in the author's note - hopefully some readers will start reading both, and leave you some feedback on which they prefer and whatnot.

If you're looking for which one has the better content, I would suggest finding some people who are willing to follow both and then do a survey amongst those people to see what they think. But ladyshrei's advice is something you should keep in mind too.

To measure which one is better, I'd measure that with how you handle things when writing the stories. For example, does writing one stress you out more? Does it take longer to think up an idea and complete a chapter? Things like that. You could try keeping records on each one for each chapter. For example, for chapter one, you could say how long it took you to write the chapter for the outlined story, and how long it took you to think up an idea/write the chapter for the not-outlined story, things like that. If you'd like to incorporate subscribers/comments/recs/etc., I don't see how that could hurt your data either, but ultimately that's up to you.

Stopping, that one seems like a problem. The only thing I could suggest is maybe aim to have the same number of chapters for each one. So decide that each story will only have five chapters, ten chapters, etc., and just hope with the non-outlined story, that you can make this happen.

    I hope I helped :)
