I married really young (I was nineteen) and there have been a few times that y husband and I have been on the cusp of divorce. Like, he legit put me out of our home for a week. I was living on my mom's couch with our two year old and it felt like my life was over. I think actions speak louder than words in situations like that and I am so incredibly thankful that I had some amazing friends and family in my life to keep my ind off of things!

(we're in a much better place in our marriage now, btw)

that being said, I think all you CAN do is just be there for them. Be their shoulder to cry on and be there to take their minds off of it because it's tough and they probably feel like absolute shit because they were under the impression that "forever" meant just that and now it's been ruined for them for whatever reason.

I'm waiting for that to happen to the people I went to school with; they broke off engagements, so marriages follow suit right? (A bit cynical but like you said, some get married young, grow up and change and want to follow different paths which don't involve their partner, or something.) Shifty

I'll keep you in my thoughts to get you through the condolences and best wishes. Thumb up Just say some inspirational quote like "It'll all work out, you can do this!"---be a Katie Hallmark card. Then tell them "they're better off without 'em" so you're not a complete staff robot, ya feel me? Wink
