Thank you for the advice, and for not just giving me the "you're to young to be thinking about this" speech.

Lots of people go through years of college only to switch their major, years of a certain career only to find or begin another, some people dont find their "thing" until they hit forty and it all turns out fine.

Just remember, Buddha didn't find enlightenment until he was 30. And the fact that youre thinking about this now puts you ahead of your own game.

Take it one step at a time. If not having anything to write about is your worry, but you enjoy writing, I'd suggest looking into the college/university courses in your areas and asking teachers, guidance counselors or your parents for assistance finding courses involving writing. The cool thing about writing (or the unfortunate thing) in post secondary is that, generally, you are given a topic, a thesis, or a layout to follow. Even creative writing is all about the tools, the history, and the application.

Paying bills is a bitch, but after a while you accept it with the same acceptance you have for school every day at the same time, same place. For taxes, all I can say is you generally request something called a T4 from your boss and buy tax software if you plan to do it yourself. I took the easy way out and went to a tax place to do it (I'm in Canada, we have moneymart) and though they took a bunch, all I did was give them my rent receipts, bus passes and T4s and they did it for me, but if you do it yourself, you save a bunch. I'm sure your parents can help if you have any questions.

Lastly, insurance. I too am lost on this, because my life is worth nothing to date. I have yet to apply, but this is more for people who have families, cars or mortgages. Until you have those things, dont worry! focus on your grades, your ideas and your worries like you are now, and you'll be just fine.
