Online Jobs/Online Typing Jobs That Are Legit. - Comments

  • The only jobs I know like what you're describing that are reputable are jobs as a medical transcriber, which you have to have a degree for, or finding a job that allows you to work from home. There aren't too many (if any) "legit" places that will hire someone online to do typing work. If you don't have to go somewhere for an interview or at the very least have a Skype interview, then it's probably not real. Or, if they don't make you fill out taxes, then it's probably not real or legal.

  • There are a few that I've found, but I can't say how well they work out due to the fact that I'm not working for any of them. Also, being in Canada, I'm not so sure. Liveops is one of them, but I'm not sure if they hire in Canada. The reason I didn't get on with them is because they weren't hiring in my area when I applied. But they do hire a lot and my step-sister's dad worked for them for a while. Needle, is another one. But you have to have expertise with certain companies. When you go through the application process they'll have you do a survey about products and companies. And they'll hire you based on what you know. I didn't get the job with them because the only company they had that I knew of was American Apparel and I don't know enough about them to work for them. Arise Virtual Solutions is the one I'm looking into right now. And Ameriplan is legit too but they're obviously American so Idk if you could work for them. But it's worth looking into. Although, I should warn you that you have to pay a fee to get started. :/ And there's another one I found that pays you to write music reviews. But I lost the site when my computer restarted and I can't seem to find it now. However, they don't pay enough to make a living unfortunately.

Otherwise, my advice is to check Craigslist often. There will be a bunch of scams on there but on occasion you'll find some pretty decent legitimate jobs. Sometimes people look for virtual assistants, which is an easy job if you're okay talking on the phone. Also, I recommend getting a Linkedin account. Even if you don't have work experience, put in things like babysitting or housesitting/cleaning etc. People will contact you for jobs regardless of what kind of experience you have. Especially if you put in that you prefer to work from home. Also, Linkedin will send you newsletters letting you know about jobs that are available in your area and pertain to your interests.

Either way, good luck on the job hunt! If you find any good work from home opportunities please send them my way! I'm in need of a home job too.
