  • 1. Same-sex parenting is the same as heterosexual parenting. The sexual orientation of a child's parents does not give them an advantage or disadvantage. Children of homosexual parents are not "deprived" of anything the child of heterosexual parents have. So in short: I completely support same-sex adoption and parenting.

That is, lesbian and gay parents are as likely as heterosexual parents to provide supportive and healthy environments for their children. This body of research has shown that the adjustment, development and psychological well-being of children are unrelated to parental sexual orientation and that the children of lesbian and gay parents are as likely as those of heterosexual parents to flourish.

    4. My mother more-so tolerates homosexuality. She tolerates my girlfriend and I as well as tolerates the idea of us someday having a family together. She does her best to be supportive. My grandparents also helped raised me and are completely against homosexuality and see it as an unforgivable sin.

  • 1. I support it 100%. I don't really see any disadvantages.
    2. I don't have links/evidence on me. I've read research about it in the past, but nothing I can pull up right now.

    4. I have no idea. My mom does. My dad's pretty opposed to same-sex marriage so I would assume he disagrees, but it's not something I've ever talked to him about.
