Thats the main reason I hate coming on Mibba now. I can't say what I actually think and feel because people put too much stock into other's opinions online. If I read something I disagree with, I just leave the blog - I don't want to dump my issues and feelings on others, it's their right to that opinion and that's fine. Who am I to argue with them over their beliefs ya'know?

They get worse. Resulting one time in her punching me in the face and chipping one of my front teeth. :( She's very violent, always has been. Her father told her to hit me, as he knows I'm a violent person as well and is hoping I'll hit her back - Silly boy, I have much more patience than that.

Very well said. You made great points. Sadly, everyone isn't as rational which hurts, especially when you've gone out of your way to show them that you believe in equality. I've realized that some people will never listen to the truth because they've already pegged pthers the way they want because it fits their rage agenda. I posted a blog this morning which I felt was very important but of course, a user tried to argue and get racist so I took it down.

It is. But according to them it's impossible to be racist to a white person. Obviously they've never actually been literally spat on because of an action someone from ANOTHER COUNTRY did. Fucks sakes, my family was fighting to survive, no food or anything, they seemed to think the poor Irish had slaves - which is ironic, considering they were practically slaves themselves. They just don't care, all they are doing is being petty. We had nothing to do with it. The sins of the father should not be projected onto the sons. I was raped by a black man, does that mean that I blame his son and that all black people are rapists? Of course not, that's ludicrous and absurd. Rapists rape, and the crime that man committed against me is in no way his son's fault, nor does it reflect badly on his race - Just him.

Of course not all people think like this, which is a relief. If the situation were reversed - Honestly, I wouldnt be mad. What happened in the past was tragic, but wallowing in self pity does nothing to help your ancestors - Live free and be proud, show the world what your made of instead of blaming others for something they didn't do. That sounds harsher than I mean it. A great injustice was done, and it is still being repaired today - But let me make one thing clear: I don't give a shit what colour your skin is, you are a human to me - You mean something to me, regardless of whatever bullshit happened in the past, you matter, your family matters and your legacy matters. We must move forward together to repair bridges, because if this hate continues, it's only going to end up in complete anarchy and we will be back at square one.

Of course I feel bad about what happened, but I am sick to death of people treating me like a punching bag - acting as if I myself placed the chains on their family members. I did no such thing and I never would. Humans do not belong in chains, whatsoever. If I was alive back then, I would have stood up for them, died if need be to see them free and I hate having that thrown back in my face. I'm too caring about this issue, and it hurts when the ones you choose to support end up being so fucking cruel and heartless. (Of course the majority are awesome. Bad apples come from all sides and should not taint the fruit tree :])

Well, sometimes ignoring a temper tantrum throwing child is the best way to go because they usually do it for attention and once they realize you're not going to give to them they stop. How old is she? Four? I'm assuming she might be in her preschool years.

I feel this blog so much. I feel like no matter how I try to prove I'm not a racist white person, people will still point their finger in my face and basically imply I'm not allowed to defend myself because I'm white and apparently am automatically a benefiter of race.

Sigh. I'm tired of it. When a person verbally persecutes me for being white and because white people from the past were racist even though I'm personally not, isn't that racism in itself as well?

Yeah, tried all of that. She doesnt take me seriously - Even confiscating all her toys and everything. She thinks it's a massive joke when I try and assert my authority.

Have you tried setting her aside and try talking to her or maybe putting her in the naughty corner. I learned the best method (from when my six year old cousin acted out at that age) was to use a warning system (like three warnings) and then if they act out again, put them in time out but that may not work since your ex scares her. >.>
